Georgia has an abundance of D-1 players and UGA will get to cherry pick those most years. It really has less to do with the coaches, than a "close to home" or "loyalty to the state" thing. It's not an "out recruit" thing.

I know that recruiting sites miss on guys all of the time. McClendon is a .91 composite.

In a tight class and assuming the ratings are correct, it isn't hard to see that UGA may not have McClendon that high on their board.

There is a good probability that the guy might be equivalent to other .94s out there. And if he is, I could see him in the classification of a "must get".

Not all 4 star rankings are the same. It will be interesting to see how his career plays out.

FWIW his crystal ball picks went from 83% UGA to 56% ... so something is up there.

Like I typed earlier and we should all agree ... we'll have to wait and see.

Right now it looks like he is leaning towards UGA but he's not going to commit to anyone until late August so it's still early.

Who cares about his rating, even his camp? If your OL coach likes him and is a good talent evaluator, be happy even if he's a 3 star. OL, along with QB, is the hardest position to evaluate anyway. Too many intangibles involved with both positions to be sure either way.

Exactly what happened earlier in the weekend with for us with Logue. Dude is like 700 in composite rankings, but he camped with us and the coaches think he will be a great DL. If you are giving a commitable offer to anyone ranked that low, this early, coaches believe in something they see.

You must have been sleeping during all the excitement when we won the Recruiting title. That shite was amazing and I want it again.

Early August, right rooster? You old bastard, just admit you have no clue what you’re talking about.

To be fair to Scrooster, he probably got that nugget from one of the recruiting sites. But you know, he doesn't really buy into all those recruiting sites anyways. Well, unless some crystal balls go in Carolina's favor, then that can be considered common knowledge.

This sums up his contributions to the board. Thanks for summarizing, funny shite. Rooster is the most disconnected insider for any one team on this site.

FWIW, I like Scrooster.

I’m just busting his balls here because he was wrong on this one.
