I don't see him making a big impact at WR. Could be wrong, just don't see it

Saban never has had a great ST. Even at LSU we weren't consistant(unless you count missing numerous PAT's) till miles got to LSU.

I'm not expecting miracles, just an improvement from where Bama is now. Coverage and return units are usually screwed up by 1 player doing something wrong. You can coach them as much as you want, but it's up to them to make the right decisions on the field.

As far as Punters and Kickers go, I don't think Saban has put much effort into recruiting them. Even if Griffith turns out, I think it's mostly due to luck...

That's why I don't listen to Chris Sailer's evaluations anymore. He's suppose to be this guru when it comes to K/P. And while that may be true, he can never say a negative thing about any recruit.

I wouldn't be surprised if colleges use him for info rather than spending time breaking them down...

I know he was ranked the 10th best kicker by one of the sites (rivals or scout) not sure about the others.

He was #3 on Scout, #10 on Rivals. It needs to be said that it was supposedly a strong year of Kickers, Rivals rank 11 3* compared to only 3 in 2011, and 7 in 2012...

Really? Sailer is who told miles he should offer every single kicker on our roster. Alleman, Wing, Hairston, Howard, and even josh jasper and colt David. He must hate saban

I'm sure he'd try to sell LSU every Kicker and Punter he had go through his camp too. I think it comes down to luck, unless LSU actually has Sailer on the payroll.

It's more than just Foster, it's Corey Smith and Jay Williams too. I give Foster a break about the long balls, but he still should be kicking them out of the endzone with his publicized "strength"...

Nope. He normally tells us one guy. It is usually the dark horse that blew up. Last year it was Hariston. We might have him on payroll

Jay Williams

Never understood how he got a scholly. We play Thomasville every year, and when he was there our punter was easily better than him. He was better as a LBer and wasn't even that good there...
