And quite frankly states guys have succeeded more at the next level.
I get McClain washing out, but Hightower and Upshaw are solid. Nico Johnson will contribute in Kansas City once he's healthy. These are just guys from the last couple of years.

And you can throw Moseley and depriest out there and we can counter with McKinney and wells who both will be in the league.
Mosley, Hubbard, DePriest, and Dickson are all early round guys in the next two drafts.

But PT and putting guys at their position I the league is a wash.
PT is what it is, but it is available. Getting to the next level is what matters in the end, but highly rated guys do like to see guys at their position being drafted in the top rounds.
That all said, Lewis is committed to Alabama right now.

We could go back and forth all night on this. Leo at the moment is committed to bama and right now looks like he will stick to it. But its a long time from now and February and yall will have a fight on your hands till NSD for this kids signature. Hopefully one of the in state schools will bring him home. Until then
ETA: I listed all lbers drafted under saban. I know I found it surprising but the 4 I listed were the only ones since 07.

All of them drafted so far were from the 07-09 recruiting classes.

Ok split hairs. The topic was guys in the NFL, not guys who are on the team and may get drafted. I know its hard to fathom that the mighty saban and its great defenses haven't put more in the league especially since Mullen has put almost as many in a shorter time frame. Buts its true, go check for yourself.
ETA: so your telling me in those great classes from 10-11 not one lb drafted even if early? We are going into the 2014 season.

first round - 3 (assuming Mosley goes as expected)
second round - 1
third-seventh round - 2
Butkus Award - 2
I can live with that.

Mosley was in the 2010 class. He was a senior in 2013. He is expected to be a first round selection. Adrian Hubbard was in the 2010 class. He left early as a redshirt junior. He is expected to be a 2-4 round selection. Those were the only two LBs in the 2010 class. Everyone in the 11-13 classes are still on the roster.

But once again your missing the point. We are talking guys in the NFL. Not guys who can be there. Alot can happen between now and then. Moseley will get drafted this year and yes he was great in college. But to act like state can't pitch to a guy everything but the NC and SECCG is crazy. We produce guys at the next level who as of right now have better careers then guys from bama.
and who is the 6th guy your referring to drafted. I have Johnson Hightower McClain Moseley and I forgot the other.
ETA: upshaw

The point is that highly rated guys tend to be attracted to programs that routinely send guys in the top of the draft at their position. Having too Butkus Award winners at the position helps as well.

You keep saying this, but other than K.J. Wright no former State LB had more than 25 tackles in 2013.
Dont'a Hightower had as good, or better, of a 2013 season as Wright. And this isn't even counting Demeco Ryans who once again led the Eagles in tackles.

Do you want to compare success of LBs?
When consistently sign the best players in the nation shouldn't you expect success?

You Alabama folk are forgetting the most important part, we have the Geoff Collins JUICE™ Method:

From what I'm hearing if Leo flips it will be to ole miss and not miss state. Hearing its ole miss or Bama. I don't even think he's communicating with mulleins staff as of late.

I like Collins. He was at Alabama in 2007 and 2008.
