Secondary should be hugely improved next season. RB and DB could be our two strongest units.

Awesome. Just need to add a monster DT or two and we’ll be a salty fricking team next Fall.

He’s a little too light for UGA. I hope he does well at Arkansas

Yeah its not like they could see his body type during his recruitment or anything

Just offered him and he showed up at 170lbs

He showed up weighing around 163 pounds and struggled to put on weight like the others were. It happens sometimes so I'm not sure why you're acting like it's a conspiracy theory. Same thing happened with Clay Webb. It's not the sole reason they transfer but it's a large part of the reason.

I didn't say its a conspiracy theory, I just think its pretty laughable that a college team is supposedly turning away a former 5 star at a position where you need depth just because hes a little light

Whatever you have to tell yourselves though

We have 5 freshman and sophomores who were 4-5 stars at the same position plus the #1 corner committed right now. All except 1 true freshman weigh 180 or more so I think we'll be okay there.

You think he was going to see significant time next year at UGA? I don’t think he was turned away, I think he realizes his spot on the depth chart and probably talked it over with coaches.

This is what I assumed as well. I imagine Kirby was nice enough to give Sam a heads up and put in a good word for us too.

We will gladly except your hand me downs. Our best chance at getting 5 stars is through the portal. Plus he’s had a year in a quality program with good coaching.

Nice pick up right there.

I agree he seems like a talented player. Hope he finds success at Arkansas and think he would’ve eventually at UGA, just not next year.

An expectation of putting good solid weight on when entering a college S&C program is nto unusual. You don't think Alabama expects layers to get bigger and stronger?

Some find it more difficult to put the weight on.

Have you seen out last 3 classes at DB?

ETA
S-Malaki Starks 5* .9905
CB-Daylen Everette 5* .9874
CB-Julian Humphrey 4* .9655
CB-Marcus Washington 4* .9412
S-Jacorey Thomas 4* .9000
CB-Nyland Green 4* .9682
S- David Daniel 4* .9583
CB-Kamari Lassiter 4* .9137
S- Joenel Aguero 5* .9842
CB- CJ Allen 4* .9671
CB- Justyn Rhett 4* .8963
CB- Daniel Harris 4* .9347
CB- Chris Peal 4* .9275
CB- Smoke Bouie 4* .9400

Committed so far this season:
CB- Ellis Robinson 5* .9959
S- Jaylen Heyward 4* .9800
S- Peyton Woodyard 4* .9795

Just a guess, but I think we will be ok. But we appreciate your concern over our "position of need".

Have you watched football at all in the past 10 years? Everyone needs depth at corner

No need for the insecurity, you're coming off your programs best 2 years ever.

I know you are trying to be fair, balanced, and rational.

But you don't know anything about the UGA DB room.
After 2019, we lost 3 DBs to transfer.
Divaad Wilson
Otis Reese
Tyreque McGee

After 2020, we lost 4 DBs to transfer.
Tyrese Stevenson
Mark Webb
Major Burns
DJ Daniel
We had 2 transfer in.
Tykee Smith
Derion Kendrick

After 2021, we post 5 DBs to transfer.
Latavious Brini
Ameer Speed
Lovasea Carroll
Jalen Kimber
Daran Branch
We had 1 transfer in.
Joseph Daniels Jr.

After 2022, we have 1 DB to transfer so far.
Jaheim Singletary
And we have a transfer in.
Smoke Bouie.

We aren't lying when we say that we are doing fine at DB.

If a DB is smaller in scale, he better hit like a mofo if he is to stay on the team.

Javin Bullard. Kamari Lassiter. Dan Jackson.
3 star. 4 star. Walkon.
If you are a 5 star but can't hold up to the physicality, you are not going to be happy here.

If you're just going to push him out after a year, why recruit him, and nowadays pay him, at all? You know when you recruit a guy if them struggling to put on weight is a likelihood, or at least a possible outcome.

I didn't say you were bad at DB, I said nowadays everyone needs depth. But as they are known to do, dawg fans take that as some kind of slight against their team

You make a generic statement like this with the implications that Jaheim Singletary hurts that depth.

If I am misinterpreting your point, let me know.
