Explain how this Recruiting board works...because all I see every other thread is a topic with a star rating + a name and who they committed too.
The first step would be to refrain from Mississippi State and Tennessee like threads to announce where your class is ranked. In July.

We also posted a lot about being number one in February.

I’d imagine they mean a little more then. Just a little.

You won the Natty - don't think anyone being honest would really say you "beat" us. A lot of flukey things had to happen for you guys to come back and win it. Agree that Kirby and OC got a little conservative in 2nd half - much credit to Bama and you guys are still the lead dogs in the SEC, but you feel the heat of Georgia coming on - whether you admit it on a messageboard or not.
Saban is the GOLD STANDARD for sure but his secret sauce is he just had better players than everyone else and was 2-3 deep at most positions. When faced with similiar talent, Bama is beatable as Ohio State, Clemson and AU have shown.
I will never run down the BAMA program as basically the goal of every college football program is to get to a BAMA Dynasty type level. As far as I am concerned, Saban is the best coach ever.
Just perusing your post though, you and many Bama fans seem to love to cast shade at Kirby and discount what he did for Bama. And with Kirby, it is not just recruiting, he took the entire Saban model to Athens and assembled a great coaching staff. A lot of the moves Saban made in offseason seem to reflect Saban's need to counter what the Dawgs are doing - especially on the recruiting trail.
The state of Alabama is not talent-rich in football the way Georgia is. It was always easy for Kirby under Saban to come in and pull 3-4 top guys out of Georgia every year. While Bama having a good year recruiting now, they are having to battle w/ DAWGS for top spot and DAWGS seem to be the more consistent in this area. HUGE advantage moving forward for our head coach to be 42yrs old while Saban is 66yrs old. I know Saban just signed an extension to be w/ Bama for another 7 yrs but the "whisper campaign" in next few years will continue and most young players don't want to play for a 70yr old. Bama should be a force for another 3-4yrs but once he's gone, the level of success won't be duplicated on Saban's level.
And....oh yeah....Kirby Smart said after the Natty - "WE ARE HERE TO STAY"

You can’t be this dense. Not even close to similar.

Until Kirby can show he can develop players we have no idea how good the recruiting efforts were. Time will tell on that.
Since when did the most recent season not count? 2017 happened or was it all a dream?

what has he done yet on the field to demonstrate he is any better then Richt?
2017 was a better season than 2002. Bigger Margin of victory, a win over a better team in seccg, and bowl games.

The lack of relevance in this post is staggering.

Well, I can’t wait for the next weekly update on where Georgia ranks. In July/August.

Can we @ people on here? Because the moment we have an update we will be sure to keep Bama fans posted

Just make sure you put "UGA" in the title of the thread. It's like bat signal.

Does he get meaningful snaps at QB while at UGA?
Posted on 7/31/18 at 6:37 pm to meansonny
That depends on so many unknown factors.

Thanks captain obvious for the hot take.
In you current opinion, does he get meaningful snaps at QB while at UGA?

Sorry, its a silly question knowing that Fields is one class ahead of him, but if he beats out whoever we sign in 2020 and beyond, he will be our QB unless we move him to another position.

I'm not an expert, but winning the game generally means you "beat" the other team.

I don't think we are going to let up on our recruiting at QB. There are about 2 QBs in the state who are top 50 recruits for 2020. We are going to grind on the recruiting trail for 5 stars and high 4 stars at QB as often as we can.
We need the kid in the 19 class. But he isn't going to see meaningful snaps.
Posted on 7/31/18 at 7:17 pm to meansonny
Does Fields or Fromm transfer? Is he better than 2020 Max Johnson or not? Sometimes a lower rated kid beats out a higher rated kid.

You may not follow UA football but UA has never been successful due to players out of GA. Except for 2015 NC I do not think any other NC UA team had a GA player start. Without looking it up not think has processed more GA players.
