I went to HS w/ Clay Webb’s Mom. She grew up in Georgia and their are plenty of family ties there. More connection than most fans know.

How many are y’all gonna sign? No team in the top 50 signed more than 27 last year.

28 is the number our recruiting mods are throwing around.

I'd venture 27 is more than likely though.

Granted, I didn't expect us to pull Emery either but Bama's also a more desirable location for recruits than LSU right now.

The biggest thing to me is getting to that 300 rating again. That would be 3 years in a row hitting 300, which only Bama and Ohio State have been able to pull off IIRC.

Still a long ways to go. Alabama has a ton of 5* waiting to get signed there, and we have to manage to keep all our commits.

Yep I dont think we can catch yall this year but a strong #2 class would be great considering the numbers.. Hopefully we can maintain the quality at positions of need. Assuming we can keep everyone committed, Webb would put us there (#2) imho.

Won't make it if Alabama signs 28, though.

yep we need him too. Webb would be more of a "surprise" I guess. I do however think we have a shot at Webb. Im not saying he is is probable but not giving up hope just yet.

That’s not necessarily true. Recruits 25-28 don’t count for very much in the ranking formulas.

I thought recruits 26+ don't count at all

They might not. Not sure. It’s negligible if anything though

It is all weighted.

Recruits 21+ barely move the needle at all. Once you are getting into those decimal points, there isn't much of a difference.

This is pretty accurate.

If you play with the class calculator for UGA last year for example, just grabbing some random recruits I could remember from the cycle:

Adding Trevor Lawrence to the class only nets +4.5 points or so... removing Justin fields from the class instead nets about a 5.3 point *loss*, with both of those guys having similar base values.

Similarly, if you add JJ Peterson to the class it nets about +2.6 points, removing Luke Ford who is slightly lower but similarly rated nets out -3.1 points or so.

Meaning recruit #27 has about a 16% penalty applied to its value relative to recruit #26. Could probably do this for each relative add if you cared, but suffice it to say, value is on a degrading scale as class size increases.

I wouldn't give up on Webb or Wright. I honestly think we are in it with both of them. Now, how far in it is hard to say, but I think we could be at least #2 on both of their lists.
