What is wrong with UF? Even with a new coach they should be in the top 40.

He literally just got there...

They just fired their head coach and might have extensive staffing changes.

McElwain has been recruiting for 2 1/2 days. He seems to be getting good reviews from the prospects. Staffing changes will happen immediately following the bowl game. Right now, it's all about getting McElwain in front of the guys and pitching himself going into the dead period. UF will finish pretty strong imo.

UF's recruiting class is what happens when everybody knows there's a high probability the HC will be fired.

McElwain has had a couple days to recruit. Can't expect anything out of him yet. Recruiting takes time.

Do you know how long the new coach has been here? Jackass.

I'm just throwing this out there, but I think its the facilities. I don't recall Auburn having such a recruiting let down between their coaching changes. UF's facilities are too old now days to compete. Until that is fixed, paying out big bucks to coming and going coaches is a huge waste.

Just replying to my own comment here with this quote I just found off an article on the internet -- see? I saw the facilities on the Tebow re-run (regarding his draft) and I've also seen Bama's -- why anyone would choose UF's is hard to understand:

“Foley’s position reminds me of Miami in the early 2000s, which denied having facility problems because of their success and then found themselves a decade behind the competition”

Auburn just played for a NC and their recruiting class is average right now. Pipe down.

I'd rather play for a national championship and have average recruiting classes, then never play for a national or even sec championship and have great recruiting classes

Of course. My point was some guy is talking out of his arse right now in regards to a recruiting class he really doesn't have a clue about. First criticism, the coach that has been there for 2 1/2 days recruiting. Secondly, the facilities that are always criticized for no reason. UF is in the process of renovating all athletic dorms and the newly approved ipf should be up in early '16. The facilities are fine. I like to deal in facts, not some guy on a message board throwing darts at a blank wall.

No I completely agree with you. I'm just responding to the dumbass UGA troll who is upset because they can't win shite when it comes to championships.

That's not true. ESPN has Auburns class in the top 10.

As to the renovations to the facilities, that proves the point. If I were a recruit, I'd say call me when your crap is together --- I can't live in a future building and work out in Virtual Reality.

So you went from one point that you had no clue about, to another. UF has won Championships without an IPF and they are improving the athletic dorms. Thanks for telling us what you would say if you were a recruit, it is much appreciated.

That attitude is why recruiting is a problem. If you are telling me that UF thinks recruits don't care where they live, where they work out and where they practice then we have identified the program's problem.

That is silly. In 2008, UF built an entire athletic facility with a new weight room. Has great practice fields, etc. They were late to the game on an IPF, but that's not a necessity. It's a shiny toy to show off, but it's not a need for any football program.

I keep hearing the dorms are a bit old. I think that's probably UF's biggest facility issue. Not the IPF.
