This is a good pick up. Ole Miss was confident. He has some work to do in the classroom but this is a pretty big blow to the Ole Miss class.

Gordon looks like the much better player on highlights but I'll take it. AU chose a nice year to get into Mississippi.

Need Gordon's effort level to rub off on Handy. Very different when watching their highlights
However Handy probably is the better overall athlete & has the higher ceiling. Could make more a solid DT pair down the road

Bama didn't see it that way. They could have had Handy but didn't have room. Some fans think the rankings are that accurate. Sometimes a 3 star is better than a 5, much less 108 vs 126. The "rankers" themselves will tell you that that difference is meaningless.

You're pretty much splitting hairs -- about subjective ratings done by recruiting web sites. And the margin for error in those ratings is probably bigger than the difference. Those ratings may also change. Bama does their own player evaluations. They obviously like Eboigbe. Auburn seemed to be recruiting him pretty hard too. I suspect your take would be different if Eboigbe committed to AU and Handy to UA.
Handy is an outstanding prospect. Very nice pickup. Congrats!
ETA: Landing Handy might help y'all flip Charles Moore too.
