He is a good kid. I have not seen him flash the athletic traits you’d expect from a recruit of his stature so far, but perhaps in a different role and some more physical development under a better staff it will show. At a minimum he is a rotational pass rusher who will put his head down and work and not have his hand out. There’s potential for him to turn into a lot more

that was the biggest thing i saw with him too. he should probably bulk up and be a 3 tech. the A&M staff slimming him down and making an edge rusher out of him was headscratching

Aggie fans, what's the deal with this guy? Obviously highly sought after, but production was meh.

I think he’s in a weird in between area and perhaps you’re right he should go the other way. But he hasn’t really slimmed down, he’s put on probably 15-20 lbs since he was a recruit. If he were down to 255 or so like he was in HS with better weight perhaps you see the athleticism really pop. Either that or he should bump up to 290-300 from where he’s at and do what you’re saying. Our shitty S&C has probably done him no favors to this point

He didn't get much coaching at A&M. Also misused by Durkin quite a bit. Interested to see his development
