Carter is liking A&M right now, so wouldn't be surprised if he went there.
We've also cooled off on Carter a lot. Focus is pretty much ONLY on Akers.

He and Carter would be a great RB duo for this class.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire says hi! Extremely unhappy that you wouldn't include him he is sick!

That's simply not true, confirmed via family member (not me).

He's from Mississippi but hardly our back yard. Clinton normally sends their kids to MSU, not Ole Miss.
But apparently were sitting in a good position.
My question is, if we're paying this dude hundreds of thousands of dollars, why are other schools even recruiting him? I know they aren't offering anything at all, nothing but a honest scholarship.
0 chance he goes anywhere other than Ole Miss. Unless LSU has purple bags they give out, but we all know that's not true. Only OM cheats

Honest question....why are OM fans so certain he is a lock? Is there something your mods know? Just curious really. Don't want to get my hopes up on this kid, but he sure does seem interested after these last two visits. Clinton is very close to BR too which can't hurt.

Ole miss or state almost always ends up getting the top instate prospects. Most assume it has a lot to do with the boosters paying the recruits, maybe they right, maybe they are wrong. Make your own judgement on it

This kid will be a Tiger, he is seeing all the exposure fornette is getting and all The other past LSU running backs on NFL teams. This is a no-brainer decision take a bag of money during your recruitment or come to LSU work hard and be the next well paid running back from LSU

I don't consider him a lock at all, but I think most of the confidence comes from the fact he is a Mississippi kid and State has Kylin Hill. Ole Miss desperately needs a star running back and I'm sure our coaches have stressed this to him. Our offensive line and receivers should be near the top of the SEC by his soph year, if not his frosh and then we have what many consider to be a future star who will be his QB in Shea Patterson. Obviously schools like LSU and Bama can sell pretty much the same thing, but they get 5 and 4 star running backs every year so it's easier for Ole Miss to sell how important he is.

Not saying they aren't talking to Carter at all, it's just clear as day who the primary target is here. Even Sonny/Shea will say things have cooled on Carter and heated up big time on Akers.

Don't be so thin-skinned. It is a little innocuous humor, not mean-spirited or inflammatory in any way. Being able to laugh at yourself is important. Don't take yourself that seriously.

dont be so obtuse. Save trolling for the rant if you feel like wasting mine and others time.
This board is to discuss recruiting and not your personal stand up routine if that's all it was was innocuous humor. And it was inflammatory and that's what you meant it to be .

Whether you want to face it or not, the fact that Ole Miss is highly likely to get hammered by the NCAA for recruiting violations is going to be part of every discussion involving a kid that is considering Ole Miss. And it should be. Why wouldn't it be? That's what the kids are talking about. That's what the coaches are talking about. And that is what the fans are talking about. I know you want us to tiptoe around it, or pretend it's not happening, to spare your delicate psyche the angst. But you need to get over yourself it something like that unhinges and discombobulates you.Not every comment is going to please your precious little heart. There was no crime here and you weren't a victim. LSU gets this stuff too as does every other team. You need to sack up, son.
