I came across the below information on another forum and thought it was very interesting. The gap in the east is substantial relative to the west, as the west's last place ole miss' class is rated above the east's third place florida Gators. What do y'all think this is a function of? I know UK, mizzou & vandy are all starving for talent, but Tennessee and florida's low ratings make me raise an eyebrow. Both schools are historic powers with new coaches. Generally, a new staff is capable of generating some buzz and obtaining talent.

3- A&M----------------15 Tennessee---------------11 Michigan
4- LSU-----------------20 Florida ------------------14 Penn St
12-Auburn------------- 23 S. Carolina --------------26 Mich St
16-Miss St-------------30 Kentucky ---------------40 Indiana
17-Arkansas -----------42 Missouri --------------- 71 Rutgers
19 Ole Miss ------------ 51 Vandy -----------------78 Maryland

What's even wilder is the talent out of HS is weighted toward east division states, except for Texas.

Big dogs walk late. Florida will finish ahead of everyone but Bama, LSU, and A&M.

If you are going to troll, do a better job. There is a reason fishermen cover the hook with a worm.

I do expect Florida's recruiting to pick up...it may be too late for this year, but definitely next.

Florida State is trash and Miami isn't close to being back yet.

Wow, so the top 4 recruiting classes are all in the SEC. Impressive. 12 is pretty amazing for Auburn given how shitty of a season we had.

No, I forgot y'all. I just meant AU and UT, which all 3 should finish close.

Seven of the top 20 in one division is crazy. Ole Miss has done shockingly well considering the sanctions and coach.

Mullen is just not that great at recruiting. Incredible base and his two main in state rivals are terrible at the moment. If Pruitt can win, he'll be a top ten annual recruiter at UT, if not top 5.

but has anyone recruited better than Chad Morris at Arkansas, or his coaches.

Consider,
2-10 record
0-8 in conference
What the frick is he selling? awww... sweet, sweet, playing time....
and?

On rivals we are 11th in the nation, 4th in SEC West, and better yet … filling needs with higher rated recruits. On 247 17th, 6th West... but still filling needs.

One thing I wish these recruiting sites would do is offer a ranking on the "Filling needs" part. Say you have the top recruits in the nation on offense, but suck on getting defense recruits and are thin there period. Why such a high ranking when you are going to suck and aren't filling needs. just a thought!

Morris has done a phenomenal job considering where Arky finished this year

Generally impossible to "quantify"... but typically you will see discussions of every class post ESD/NSD that cover this... ie. "had holes at QB, OL, and ILB but filled each one of those spots with 4 and 5* players, along with a lot of underrated blah blah blahs..."

yeah, when he get his own cruits in here, I hope he has a much better outcome. I think he will.

But what we are missing for the short term is a very good dual threat QB, long term, I think we have the answer.

Next season will be rough again however, how rough?

Mizzou is “starving for talent” huh?

Sure doesn’t look that way on the field
