It is well known mizzou's recruiting comes in at the bottom of the pack in league, try not to get triggered by my pointing out the obvious

Y'all do a good job with what you have

Mizzou's 247composite conference class rankings:

2019 13/14 as of this post
2018 13/14
2017 13/14
2016 13/14 coming off sjw protesters
2015 12/14 coming off division win

Odom is a hell of a coach

Big dogs walk late. Florida will finish ahead of everyone but Bama, LSU, and A&M.

Concentrate on finishing ahead of State first grasshopper.

Mullen is just not that great at recruiting

What Mullen is good at is identifying kids that slip through the cracks when it comes to rankings and MS always has a pile of them, it was his bread and butter at MSU.

Not so sure that opportunity presents itself in the same manner at Florida as the state is so thoroughly covered by the recruiting services unlike small podunk MS towns.

Jerry Rice, Brett Farve, and Walter Payton were all small town MS kids who slipped through the cracks, you just have to beat the bushes a bit to find them.

Mullen and UF have to do better.
No way should UF be ranked #20 in recruiting.

I came across the below information on another forum and thought it was very interesting. The gap in the east is substantial relative to the west, as the west's last place ole miss' class is rated above the east's third place florida Gators. What do y'all think this is a function of? I know UK, mizzou & vandy are all starving for talent, but Tennessee and florida's low ratings make me raise an eyebrow. Both schools are historic powers with new coaches. Generally, a new staff is capable of generating some buzz and obtaining talent.

I get what you are hoping to convey, but .... you’re trying to make it as if there are huge gaps here, when there are not.

Look at the difference in class sizes. Compare average per player composite ratings. Look at what needs were filled. Look at who signed trench players vs who signed skill players who are typically higher rated and draw more accolades than say would a very strong OLine and/or DLine class with fewer numbers.

You mentioned Ole Miss’ class ... but it’s a numbers class, and that’s great, that’s what they needed, but it’s quantity over quality.

It’s all relative. As of right now, and The West clearly out-recruited The East, however you gotta take into account the needs of each program, impact players, and trench players vs skill players.

247 Composite - Bold = Really strong classes

Bama 24 commits - 93.59 - 301.42
UGA 20 commits - 93.43 - 289.83

A&M 24 commits - 91.12 - 282.55

UT 21 commits - 89.29 - 243.9

LSU 20 commits - 91.49 - 279.43
SC 19 commits - 89.06 - 233.84

Auburn 16 commits - 92.09 - 253.76
Florida 18 commits - 89.41 - 228.79

Miss State 23 commits - 88.72 - 241.02
Kentucky 22 commits - 86.31 - 203.08

Arkansas 26 commits - 88.34 237.67
Mizzou 16 commits - 86.36 - 185.86

Ole Miss 27 commits - 87.49 - 232.08
Vandy 22 commits - 84.18 - 179.33

5 year averages are very telling.

Ala. 1.8
UGA 3.6
LSU 6.6
Aub 10
aTm 12.4
Tenn 14.2
UF 15.6

Ole Miss 20.8
SC 21.4
Miss St. 21.8
Ark 27.4
Kentucky 33.8
Missouri 39.2
Vandy 52

So ya think those four bolded lived-up-to their recruiting rankings?

If so, how so?

And obviously, Kentucky and Mizzou overshot expectations based on their class averages.
