Never been over there. How often do they predict the downfall of Bama?

I have no problem with this at all because of that. It gives him another semester to rehab without burning a redshirt. It also allows Bama to fill his spot in this class as well as have a very good RB in the next class now.
So saban institutes his own little "early signing period" by signing a piece of paper binding him to give this kid a scholly, and you have no problem with it?

It's not really an early signing period as the kid can sign this year.
The kid was probably worried about "the process" and Saban couldnt take his LOI and grayshirt him this year so he is trying to have something to keep the kid happy till next year

Do none of y'all take into consideration that he hurt his knee really bad?

For sure, but most of the time if something like that happens the players still signs his LOI and either redshirts or greyshirts. They dont wait a year to sign a LOI

If you're going to be a count, at least pretend to know what the frick you're talking about.

Interesting because it still sounds like this:

I though the whole point of this is that he won't sign this year and will wait until next year. He's signing a piece of paper promising him a slot next year. Oh, and a job. What is a high school grad qualified for these days?

bama has been convicted by the NCAA for buying players (see Albert Means), so you need to keep that argument in your pocket.
Imma keep it down home cuz.

Sounds like I hit a nerve, bitch.

even if both signed something, which will likely not happen at all now, it would not be binding in any way towards having an open spot for bama to accept his LOI for 2013. This is just a means to keep the kid happy till next year and more than likely keep him from going elsewhere.
It will be interesting to revisit this next year and see if he still has a spot.

Yes...my nerve would be idiotic people from both the Alabama and Auburn fanbases. Their stupidity strikes a nerve quite often.

But back on topic, where do y'all think Saban will help him get a job at? Olive Garden? Chili's? Maybe at a gym? Lawn care service?
House sitting in Buckhead would be the preferred job..
Now that this has made it to the paper, Alabama will cut all ties with this kid... They will NOT be accepting him at Alabama...

When it is all said and done this is exactly what will be happening. The kid speaking publicly about extra benefits from Saban cost himself a spot at Bama.

Now the question is, do they(NCAA) implement a new saban rule? and what do they call it? 2nd Rule of sabaning?

quote:No Saban will just explain that he really wants to sign the contract with the kid, but compliance is telling him he can't. However, Saban is still committed to him and he will definitely have a spot next January. Also, Saban will send him a link to careerbuilders.com with a note that says good luck on the job hunt, see you next year.
