It makes zero sense for fans of any team other than UGA to get excited about Fields' announcement about Wednesday. Unless they're admittedly delusion and masochistic.

He is Florida bound. See my post from yesterday:

quote:

Have heard that he left OV at Georgia this weekend early and drove down to Gainesville after Emory Jones left UF. Jones tried to commit to Mullen, but was told no. Fields came down and Mullen sealed the deal. Huge get for the gators and an epic loss for Georgia. Heisman winner at Florida IMO.

Was originally going to go until February signing day, but Mullen convinced him to sign early and help build the class.

At least Georgia has time now to scramble for a QB. Congrats the Gators. They whipped our arse here.

Fields to Florida. Jones to Bama. UGA fires Kirby Smart and hires Butch Jones. Brick by brick

He was being facetious... Florida most likely to land Emory Jones at this point it would seem. Fields literally still tweeting dudes to commit to UGA today. It would be one of the most masterful trolls of all time at this point for him to go elsewhere. I'd have to tip my cap quite honestly.

None of the UF posters were going to fall for it, so it was just going to be people who were totally out of the loop and missing the context. He seemed to be genuine in his comments... it only seemed right. My bad.

My sources are at least as good as 99% of other folks on here. Haha.

Y'all need to send Orgeron a gumbo-gram and let him know to swipe Emory Jones from Florida.

Man you should know better than to expect LSU to sign a QB

If you can't take a croot from Mullen, I have overestimated the appeal of LSU for years. Seriously... playing time to sell... much more talented roster... Emory would be a great fit there IMO. Plus... would be a lot more fun to watch the Gators squirm post Corral decommit if they miss on EJ as well.

Just wait till Mullen shows up to an in home with EJ wearing pleated slacks and high top
White new balances...

That's LSU's window of opportunity.

I honestly don’t know why LSU hasn’t gotten a good QB. I mean it’s been like six years since they’ve had a good QB recruited. LSU fans, do ya’ll know why it’s been so long?

You little girls do this every off-season: buy a new coach and claim instant elite status only to finish with 5 losses. Wash, rinse, repeat. It's your culture. Not the coaches. Keep trying to buy status.
