It will be a lil overkill, but it will be big for sure.

Good deal.
I hope the young man does well for himself except for when he plays against UA.

I like seeing good in state kids do well even if it is at Bama. Guys like Foster, I don't wish him well but if Evans goes to Bama, I could be okay with him doing well not against AU

See what you did there
I am wondering how much Malzahn can share about the Star position and how it relates and is used in Ellis' defense. Some of these kids recruitments kill me and isn't Malzahn known more for being a offensive guru/genius. Does Ellis not even ATTEMPT to recruit?

A lot of the best offensive minds know more about defense than most think. Like in economics and recruiting, you have to minimize your opportunity cost.

AMM pretty much laid it out. Evans spent a lot of time watching videos and going over his role in the defensive scheme Auburn runs with Ellis. It made a huge impact based on what he said in his interview. Ellis has been involved quite a bit, but Malzahn has been a big factor with Evans and his family.

How are you an offensive genius if you don't understand how the defense works? I'm sure Malzahn knows all about EJ's plan with Evans at star.

It doesn't matter who its down too. You don't cancel a trip to another school (pretty much eliminate them) after a visit unless you are completely sold on the school you visited. If he wasn't favoring Auburn he would have still made the trip to UCLA. He even pretty much said he knew where he was going after the visit and been saying he was down to 2. You can't announce without at least 2 schools. The Bama hat is on the table for the Bama fans in his family.

I really would laugh if he says it came down to that.
"I'd like to thank Coach Gus for recruiting me and for the Auburn family for being so good to me...but it came down to what's best for my family and it being a business decision."

UCLA is just a hop, skip, and jump from Auburn, AL.

He also said he pretty much eliminated either Bama or UCLA after the Auburn visit. You don't you just say "I like this school so much that I am not considering just one of the others." He said he pretty much knew where he was going and he needs 2 schools to have an announcement.
