Need to take a little break to get my mind off work. I'll start this thang.

1a.) Bama - No question
1b.)UGA UGA - Not sure what to do with this one. Historically very good and I think Kirby will probably improve on that.

2.) LSU - Excellent job this cycle considering coaching turmoil late season

3.) Tennessee - Butch can cruit just can't coach or prevent rapes

4.)Ole Mi$$****************************************** - Until they get busted you gotta give em props for being creative

5.)Auburn - Excellent class considering this season (could easily switch them and UGA and still be right on target IMO)

6.) See 1b.

7.) Texas A&M. Has been really good in the past. Seems to be set to drop moving forward though.

8.)UF - The fact I consider us middle of the pack is depressing. Mac is opposite of Butch. Appears to be a really good coach but an equally bleh recruiter. He better pick it up.

9.) Miss State - Mullens has been pretty good considering where he is.

10.) Arky?

11.) USC - Muschamp will improve them, but by how much?

12.) UK

13.) Mizzou

14.)Vandy

Not a recruiting junkie but this is how I see it. Feel free to rip it to shreds and criticize to no end!

This isn't scientific so I don't really know were I would put UGA, but one thing I DO know is that there aren't 5 better recruiting staffs in the league than us.

Then let's see what you got man.

I'm not hating on UGA. Look where I put UF. Like I said UGA is hard to place considering transition. But what I DO know is Bama has got to be at the top, LSU is always at or near the top. UT has done excellent considering they do nothing every year Butch has been there and were horrible the years preceding him. Ole Miss is Ole Miss. Look who they are pulling into Oxford! These types of classes have never been pulled there. Are they cheating? We will see but until its proven you gotta give them credit.

I also said you can flip UGA and Auburn then there would only be 4. Also keep in mind this is ONLY recruiting ability not overall program. With that in mind I a looked at how they recruit vs facilities, recent on the field history etc.

UGA just signed a better class than UT and AU while transitioning to a new staff.

We shoudl probably be 3rd, or worst case scenario 4th.

It's tough to rank us for the purposes of this thread because our staff has only been here about 2 months.

Ranking below is my projection for 2017 class and moving forward based, in part, to historical success, but also to who the current staff consists of (USCe, for example, got much better at recruiting with this staff than with previous):

1) Bama - no explanation needed
2) UGA - enormous talent base, excellent staff
2a) LSU - great talent based, excellent staff that got better with Craig (can't rank you at 2 alone b/c you may very well fire your entire staff after this season)
4) Ole Miss - for now we can leave them here. need to see if their pattern of GREAT year, good year, ok year continues
5) USCe - strong staff of recruiters that will hit high schools in that area like never before - smart hires with ties to state, too
6) AU - historically top 5 in conference in terms of recruiting, but just lost Craig and Gus' hot seat will be used against him on the trail
7) UT - let's see if they are out of legacies and can actually build a class of people who want to go to UT for what they are building, not what their dad did their 20+ years ago. do like the staff, though. good coaches adn good recruiters
8) UF - good staff, great school, great state. need to get and KEEP recruits
9) TAMU - should be able to recruit really well, but something is off in college station (likely sumlin)
10) Arky - I like Bert. my guess is recruits do too. they also like to win. if Bert keeps improving on field, recruiting will continue improving
11) MSU - Mullen is a good coach, but he's just not that great of a recruiter and hasn't surrounded himself with great recruiters.
12) Kentucky - why bother explaining
13) Mizzou - why bother explaining
14) Vandy - why bother explaining

Mizzou has a brand new staff, we'd be a TBD at this point.

Kirby Smart has wanted great recruiters on staff from the beginning. I think every hire he has made was made with recruiting in mind. All of the new coaches are top-notch recruiters.

Edited my original rankings to appease UGA fans and streamline discussion of the overall picture. They like being highly ranked in things. See pre-season National Title trophy case.

There guys. Can't say a Gator never did anything for ya.

Wow I feel like that Bernie Sanders. Need to dip out for a bit to go home and shower.

You have to try to understand the level of sensitivity the fans have. No tolerance.

It's like when you ask a British person where they are from.

Are you taking into account the school's location and past?

Saban is a one-man recruiting staff all by himself. Your position coaches, who are the primary recruiters, are good, but Saban is the reason kids sign with bama, not the position coach. So, if we are talking man-for-man recruiters on a staff, my vote is LSU.

Bitch please. Just be honest and say you have a hard on for Kirby Smart so you put UGA right behind Bama

RA'd. Glad you think this shite is funny. Meanwhile, there's not been a single conviction made. Not a one.

Kirby is a great recruiter, in his home state that averages almost double the D1 talent annually compared to LA, coaching at his alma mater and is about as safe in his job as anyone could be.

Les is a great recruiter, in a state that has about 1/2 of the annual D1 scholarships signed as Georgia, at a school that wanted to fire him last season, where he has underachieved with great talent for years, and is certainly not "safe" in his job.

LSU fans want to fire Les annually, your team underachieves, your Offense is boring and your D exposed frequently. Are you talented? Absolutely. Do I think you'll have a better class average than UGA the next 4 years? No. No I do not.
