the report I read said that Kongbo signed his Financial Aid papers and that his father has yet to sign the LOI. Is that not the case?

What they are reporting is true, but it's also pointless. Kongbo's dad hasn't signed off on it because apparently he likes Freeze more than Butch. Which as fake as most people believe Freeze to be, I think most parents would prefer that to Butch Jones who is just a POS. He's still going to end up at UT, the writer is just trying to get Ole Miss fans excited about the possibility. He'll still end up at UT and should if that's where he wants to go, but it's not surprising a parent would not want their kid to play for Butch Jones. Maybe they saw the video of Butch punching a player?

What's the purpose of announcing that he hasn't signed his lOI other than giving Ole Miss fans false hope that he's still open to playing for someone other than UT -- Or essentially subtlety implying Ole Miss is still in it for Kongbo ( and that is exactly what he's doing by posting that update) when you are not?
Ole Miss finished 4th in Kongbo's recruitment behind Southern California and Florida St in that order, yet Johnson has strung you guys along the entire way and seems to be doing it again. Why else would he make that post? It certainly wasn't for Tennessee's benefit. I think it's funny as hell, but the guy has been off on his recruitment from the beginning.
Kongbo has been tweeting at Butch Jones since the article came out and retweeting VOL fans this morning. Ya'll keep keeping those fingers and toes crossed though

Simple... click bait. Smart business move. There's no way that a UT fan or OM fan, even if they have already conceded that Kongbo will go to UT, will not read that article.
