Just saw that. Didn't even know yall were recruiting him hard. Could be very good but has a lot of bad weight right now.

Yeah he does have bad weight. Not something I worry about much though. Especially with a good S&C staff. Most of these kids have never been through a "real" offseason if you know what I mean.

Lololol you have no idea how UF recruits. UF doesn't take kids to get other kids. We have never been in it for LF and probably won't be. It's a little thing called "upside". With a good S&C staff and our numbers on the OL, we can afford to take him and hope he pans out.

May "want" him, but it's a pipe dream. Taking this kid has 0 affect and I would think an LSU fan would get that.

No, this offer along with almost all his other big offers are to get in with Fournette, no doubt about it. Dont even try and kid yourself. Go watch film on Paul, very unimpressive. St. Aug is always chock full of huge OL and Paul is no different than your typical St. Aug kid. LSU got 2 much better OL prospects from there a few years ago.

Lol if that's the case, why didn't UF offer Mackenro to get Mackensie? Lewis to get Howard? Etc, etc, etc out of our home state. You don't know a damn thing.

I never said you ALWAYS offer kids to get others, but you definitely did in this case. Fournette isn't the only talent at St. Aug either.
I've watcted film on Fournette since he was a freshman and Paul has never stood out in 3 years at St. Aug . In fact most folks didn't even know who he was until these big offers started piling in as Fournette's recruitment got really ramped up.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if UF dumped him down the line and he wound up at a school like Houston or LT. The kid just isnt very talented.

UF has never even been in discussion for LF, so I doubt this is an effort to get in his recruitment. Like I said on Paul, I'll biwisi on NSD.

I sincerely doubt that UF would offer this kid to get at Fournette. They have no shot at Fournette, even with a teammate. Maybe they see something in the kid

It should say something that LSU needs some OL right now and he doesn't hold an offer yet we've very closely recruited St. Aug with Fournette there and other recruits we've gotten from there recently. It's not like we have a bunch of OL offered right now either, and we plan to take at least 3 if not 4 probably.
The only reason Roberts from there doesnt hold an offer from us is simply because of the absurd amount of interest from DBs we've gotten this go around. Most of the 5-star/high 4-star DBs we have either made a big impression on or have committed already. In any normal year, Roberts has an offer several months ago IMO. Paul just isn't talented.

I don't think this has anything to do with Fournette. If you look at their 2013 offensive lineman class, it seems to me they are targeting guys based on pure strength. Guys like Octavius Jackson or Trevon Young were not highly rated or recruited because of questionable footwork, but they both can maul people. Paul is in the same boat.

For all we know he could have been the 3rd guard on our board. We already have Clapp committed and an offer out to Brumfield. We couldn't throw out 3 in state offers for only two spots.
