the non-committable offer probly soured him a bit but seems like most of the time they get over it

non-committable offer

We need to strike that from recruiting vocabulary. If you cannot commit then it isn't an offer.

I totally agree. Saying someone has a "non-committable offer" means something like, "you had an offer earlier, but now you don't anymore, but there is a good or at least decent chance that you'll get another offer in the near future."

By the way...it seems like 3 crystal balls came in for A&M last night. That's a good sign, but, even if we get him, I worry about our chances of holding onto an OOS guy who has wanted to go to Bama and who is getting pressed by Bama to commit. I hope they take somebody else and fill his spot.

This absolutely happens. People get offered, but then their spot is taken by someone else. 100%.

You had an offer, but now it is no longer valid.

Shea on 247 just said he spoke to a source about Harris and they feel he will commit to A&M soon FWIW.

Shea put in his CB for A&M

Yeah, this is what TA had to say about it this morning.

I'll start with the latest I'm hearing on Baton Rouge (LA) LB Christian Harris. The Alabama push in the last 48 hours has been persistent. There's no doubting that. I was told this morning though that the Harris camp remained in regular contact with A&M throughout the day as well and culminated a busy day with an extensive conversation with Bradley Dale Peveto. Yesterday morning, a Louisiana source with knowledge of the situation felt comfortable in calling this one for the Aggies but, at the time, said, "it'll be an interesting next couple of days with this Bama push though." With all the back and forth on this one, it certainly seems like Harris will be sticking with that August decision timeline.

Harris is on commitment watch to Bama.

Pretty confident he's going to Bama. A&M is close but they're not quite there to be winning OOS recruiting battles against us.
