He should have just mentioned how well LSU is doing, potentially back to back top 3 classes

LSU put together a really solid class so far that is overshadowed by Bama and UGA.
Orgeron is really doing a good job there on the recruiting front regardless of what happens with Sopsher. In years past, guys like Stingley, Thomas, and Emery would have been down to the wire battles--and at least one of them would've likely ended up at Alabama. He locked all those guys in early and even flipped Emery. I'm actually one of the few that thinks he ends up getting Sopsher as well
Now, I don't think he can really coach for shite, but the cupboard will not be bare for the guy that takes over in a few years.

Don't be surprised to see us inch even closer to UGA/Bama type classes they have had the last couple of years. All O needs to show is that he can put a consistent product on the field ...then watch the recruiting go off the charts. Its already starting to happen....our 2020 class is going to be ridiculous

LSU has always had great talent though. Gotta get the QB thing figured out.

LSU has never had trouble recruiting since Saban was there outside of one year where y’all finished what like 16 or something.

In the last 12-15 years LSU hasnt had a talent issue. They are as talented year in year out as anyone in the top of the SEC and top10 in the Country.

You guys don’t get it....you need a top three class every year if you want to compete with Bama. Our average is around 6-8 over the last ten years. Esp along the lines. O already has two highly ranked QB’s on board for 2020....and Burrow has been an improvement. Things seems to be headed in the right direction there.

However, there is, and has been, a significant talent gap between Alabama and LSU (and everyone else). Fact.
The second issue is QB recruitment and development. Offensive innovation.
The first issue is not going to ever be resolved until Saban is gone. The second issue should have been resolved the minute Les Miles was fired.

Yeah LSU has always gotten highly rated QBs, that’s not the problem

We will just sit back and shut up with our one 5*, two 4*s and that one itty bitty 3*. Seriously, the 2020 class is going to be Epic for the Dawgs. We are favored for several top 50 players and including these 5*s:
Broderick Jones 5* OT Committed
Arik Gilbert 5* Athlete
Myles Murphy 5* SDE
Justin Rogers 5* OG (We signed his HS QB)

Yeah waaaay too soon to be touting 2020 classes. Last April, Dawgs fans were wigging out about lack of early commitments and finished with #1 class overall. Also, those early commits of highly rated players are hard to hold - just look at Dawgs and Haselwood now. I don’t know the stats but would guess almost half of the 4-5* guys that commit over a year out eventually decommit.

Damn, can Georgia get over the Bama hump? You're breaching LSU territory.

You want that to be the case. Dawgs competed with Bama the last couple of games before losing by single digits. Just sit back and watch what Kirby is building.

Losses are losses. LSU outgained Bama in offense in 17 but still lost. That's all that anyone remembers. UGA needs to learn how to play a "complete" game

Thinking OU will have two 5 star backs next year. We already have two committed running backs and Jaylen Knighton is a 4 star top 100 guy who may be the best running back who isn’t a 5 star.
