I have no idea whether UGA would take him or not, but I did find this fascinating.

I do not vouch for its credibility in any way whatsoever.

Wow, I won’t judge any program that takes a chance on this kid... the relevant risk has been mitigated by a toothless NCAA & my acceptance of the universal state of recruiting.. IOW I won’t be throwing rocks in a glass house.

The kid is a generational talent.

Don’t know the details of your depth chart, but I have assumed UGA was as immune as anyone to needs at RB. Y’all have been RBU lately.

Gotta do what ya gotta do, but it’s clear he wants to be in Athens if given the oppty. A&M has to be pissed with this kid if he ends up somewhere else, but we’ll see how it all plays out.. in the short & long term.

He won’t be enrolling early. Neal McCready says that sources close to Evans are saying it’s 50/50 between Ole Miss and LSU, the same source says UGA is in 3rd but Evans likely will not end up at A&M. Exact quote is he likes Fisher but dislikes everything else

A&M accepted the commitment from a JUCO RB tonight so I think its pretty clear Jimbo finally moved on from Evans

Probably, but kids worse than him have turned it around. It’s not like the kid is in and out of jail or a criminal. Haven’t heard of him connected to drugs.

The kid needs a change of scenery and a mentor.

Not really. We already missed out on E.J. Smith because of him. He was NEVER going to A&M.

Fisher took a commitment from a JUCO RB (will be a sophomore when he arrives at A&M) who is the older brother of a 2021 4-star tight end/defensive end from Grandview. Not sure why he went JUCO out of high school, but he played WR and DB as well as RB.

Watching his highlights, he is similar in size to Isaiah Spiller and, while not as fast, seems to be better at both making people miss and powering through tackles. The main thing that stands out about his JUCO highlight video is that it includes a significant number of BLOCKING highlights. He may be able to play fullback (we don't have any scholarship fullbacks on campus)

Right now:

Zamir White
Kenny McIntosh
James Cook
Kendall Milton

Personally, I would like for us to sit tight and work on two next year, but the coaches didn't ask me, for whatever reason. Just forego all the drama and sit tight.

There is no telling where he ends up. My personal opinion is he puts the name of all the schools in the country in a hat and draws one out at the first of every week, and that is the new leader.

The rate Evans is going, he maybe at Delta State next season.

Someone need to help this young man and guide him.

This will be a project whoever he ends up with in the off season.

Whoever brings this young man needs to have a plan for him to help him mature and built-in daily accountability. Given how Kirby has handled so far, confident UGA would have that in place. Some other schools likely would as well - others not so much.

Both Wiltfong and Kipp Adams are saying UGA is indeed back in communication with Evans.

What that means I have no idea. But, it does sound like we are indeed still considering taking him.

The interesting part is the LOI. Since we released him, I know he can't sign one with another school. But, since he signed one with UGA, could he sign a second one with us that we can submit? I don't know the rule.

UGA 247 saying no. He’ll just show up wherever he ends up going after signing financial aid.

Rumor is that coach Fisher told Evans if he isn't enrolled by tomorrow we're moving on. Watch Darvon Hubbard. If he commits Wednesday and cancels his 31 January LSU visit, you'll know where we stand with Evans.

That would be nice to end with him. Fast enough. Good 1 cut upfield from the highlights.

A&M is taking 4 RB’s?
2 signed, 1 committed plus Hubbard?

Yes. We need more than 1 on the roster.

For the millionth time, Isaiah Spiller is the only scholarship RB currently on campus. Achane and Jackson (signed in December) makes 3.
