people thought mcknight was 50/50 but he never really liked LSU at all. He and his hs coach just wanted to pretend to like lsu until the last possible second as if that would deflect the hate.

Yeah. He had USC socks and panties for a while. True story

Well, now I see why he went West Coast.

I talked to a friend on the staff at Alabama this morning. LC has been torn badly about the choice. He had it all worked out in his head when he got on the plane to Orlando but by the time he landed it was a mess again. The kid is on an emotional roller coaster.
His first choice is LSU but he is fighting two huge issues with that choice. He thinks going to LSU will be the beginning of the end with his GF and he is worried about maybe having to fight his friend Reid for a starting job. At Alabama they have been pushing on his emotional buttons and have been telling him all he has to do to start next year is beat out a former 3-star (Sunseri) that is only in his first year at safety.
The kids head if flipping back and forth between LSU and Bama about every hour. None of that has any basis in reality but I thought I would see if anyone would bother to read it.

Actually, the McKnight situation helps soften the blow with guys like LC.
After McKnight, most rational LSU fans realized that it's definitely possible that LSU ends up better off when a top guy goes elsewhere after everything plays out on the field.
Don't get me wrong, you still want the top guys. But, McKnight was a great example of the reason not to get too upset over one particular recruit.

Which is why it would be a total shock IMO if he went to Alabama.
It's one thing if a kid wants to get out of Louisiana, but if you've got a guy that really wants to go to LSU (like LC), LSU doesn't lose out on those type guys. Because the recruit eventually comes to his senses and goes with the safe bet in a place that he already loves anyway.
You can roll the dice and go out of State to Bama (admittedly, a place he probably also loves), or you can play it safe and stay in state and go to a place he loves.

How is going to Bama, "Rolling the dice"?

Even if any of that bullshite were true, Collins wouldn't be beating out Reid, regardless. Period.

Going out of state in general is rolling the dice in a sense.

Not cool... HS kids got enough to worry about without college coaches constantly pressing the issue. It's not Urban Cryer recruiting, but still not cool

Prominent the game he is playing is telling his Girl what she wants to hear. He loves her and wants her to be happy but when it comes down to the choice LC is picking LSU. Too many reasons to.

so the jokes on little vicki?

Everyone and every LC interview is saying his mind is made up. So I don't see how he's going back and forth. Sounds to me like bama is struggling in their scramble mode.
93% LSU
93% LSU

But lil' Vicky is telling Alabama recruits to keep Landon away from LSU recruits.

The fact that nothing solid is coming from Alabama I am starting to feel positive
