Sumlin is converting everyone into WRs. 10 wide sets no punts only onside kicks

Havent you heard? Sumlin promised everyone in our class that they could smoke a J while playing QB for us next year. They will get the ball fine as QBs

11 wide sets. It's called the WR-Cat formation.

Gonna be funny to watch how frustrated Speedy, Nacho, or Young,etc..get when there is but one football for a now yet unproven 5* QB to spread the love..

This ain't HouCougar nor OU in Big-12..Sumlin has to appease those WRs within the constraints of trying to win in the SEC..

Unless ATM intends on remaining a 3rd and 4th place SEC West team playing from behind or in 51-48 shootouts, something will have to give in going forward.

Now, LBs ya'll can definitely use..gotta get an SEC D one of these years, and since the Tejas continually come up soft at LB..maybe an La kid may cure some of ATM's atrocious D ills.

Never gonna make a dent in the West until that lollipop Aggie D gets out of it's Big-12 softness.

P.S. I'm not a recruitnik, don't watch HS ball, nor subscribe to any service. Lightly peek into this board's few recruiting boards..mostly for fun. Just checked Young's bio page now, a natural LB physique, quite a specimen!

KY and Olaka, pairing with Claiborne shores up a desperately depleted LB corps. We have numbers, but short on talent. The DL is going to be damn good in the next two years. Honestly the only major concern at this point is safety on the defensive side of the ball.

Next year, the defensive recruits will help to shore up even stronger units. We have Mack, and probably pull TD Moton, Malik Jefferson, and Sheffield at minimum. We're shoring up the safety position as well with Dunning and Pryor...

It takes a few great classes to build depth, and Sumlin is building a decent SEC defensive depth with successive classes. If 2015 grades out with the above, we will finally be able to field a decent defense.

Last year, most of the defensive starters were RS fish or younger. Claiborne was our best LB.

My only question is which out of the 3 linebackers (Alaka, Walker, Young) is most likely to start at his position.

We can assume that the Spring LB rotation is:

Will: Claiborne (SO), Washington (SO)
Mike: Mastrogiovanni (SO), Chevis (RSFR)
Sam: Hilliard (RSSO), Ward (RSFR)

Very Highly unlikely, but ok.

Young to UCLA or LSU IMO. Hamm is hamming yet again.

Not entirely true.

DL: Hall (FR), Robinson (RSJR), Golden (FR), Stansbury (RSJR) 2/4

LB: Askew (SR), Claiborne (FR), Jenkins (SR) 1/3

DB: Harris (SO), Everett (JR), Honeycutt (RSJR), Matthews (JR) 0/4

3/11 were RSFR or younger.

The quote to Hamm is a direct text from Young, not sure how he could be "hamming" yet again. As for Moton, I think I'd give us a lot better shot than "very highly unlikely." Him and Daylon Mack seem to really like the idea of playing together.

Why would that be unlikely? We pulled a five star our of New Orleans hat LSU desperately wanted and needed. Getting anyone out of Louisiana isn't "highly unlikely" for Sumlin. Especially not a kid that lives closer to College Station than Baton Rouge.

Again Aggies, Speedy was never a make or break for this class. LSU wanted him, no doubt, but the program will manage to move on.
