auburn offered him three years ago and stayed with him when others backed off b/c of grade concerns, including bama... will be interesting to see how it plays out over the next few weeks.

No, but it was a statement made by Jovon when Auburn wasn't a player for him. It was almost a year ago and things can change, and in fact things have changed.

He's the best RB coming out of the south in a long time. Can't wait until he's in orange and blue.

I know that is what I figured
The perception by everyone seemed to be that NCAA wasn't gonna let AU recruit him but obviously backed off
This makes it very interesting

You're right he's a different style but more ready his stats last yr were ridiculous
He's very similar to Tre Mason a lot faster more elusive really quick twitch athlete skill set
Doesn't have to run over people like LF they don't get near him he's that fast

I am giving my opinion on Jovon...if he hadn't had the grade change he might've started this yr at AU over Tre Mason
LF was a HS Senior
LF was great and I am willing to bet he had less yards and TDs (don't know what his stats were)
I expect LF to have a lot of carries this year for LSU no doubt

Sandman is saying we offered first because he's counting our offer to him out of High School. Tide Saint is saying they were the first to offer out of JUCO. So really it's just arguing over semantics.
Auburn coming into the picture changes the game with Jovon. He already signed with us once and we're running the ball better now than we were back then.
