Transcript issue. Supposed to be visiting LSU this weekend, but might not have made the trip.

Another year of prep school?

Transcript issue?

Like he didn't make the grades? How could he get into LSU with those "issues"?

Josh McNeil, TE, 6-5 235, Milford Academy, New Berlin, NY, 2013, Alabama-commitment

With two tight ends already committed for the 2013 class, it has been very apparent that LSU is still seeking a third. Enter McNeil, who has been in contact with LSU despite his commitment to its arch-rival. It is believed that McNeil is fairly solid to Alabama, but never call a player a lock while he is still taking visits. With that being said, McNeil is considered the hardest pull out of the uncommitted visitors slated to visit this weekend. However, that won’t stop LSU from putting in a great effort with the hopes of flipping the big-bodied tight end

Perfect sense he is at prep school for a reason, his grades were always a problem, one of the reason I was surprized bama let him commit, but they new if it worked out a good player coming in Jan., if not another spot for someone else.. JMO

This is a hit, with our lack of quality depth at TE he could've been in the two deep as a freshman.

Obviously OJ Howard will be an impact player, I just dont see him being ready from a weight perspective to play a traditional TE role on plays requiring him to block as a freshman. Seems more like an Aaron Hernandez type to me.

McNeil isn't a blocking TE either. McNeil is a drama queen anyway, I'm not disappointed

Was supposed to be an EE at LSU back in January of 2009, ended up having "Transcript issues", and ended up at Okie St.

Screw that, Josh will be overshadowed by OJ, but he's got a lot of talent that we need at the TE position.

Agree and I also feel the same way about Rueben Foster.

IMO OJ Howard will overshadow this kid and he probably feels he would always be second to Howard.

It will be a very tough act to compete with Howard.
