Tyrion Davis is legit. LSU will turn their attentions (I think) to Noah Cain. You get those two and you'll have two really good running backs.

Yes he is. At 6'1 230 and the #7 RB, he is very legit. I think we are very much in it with Noah Cain. Cain would be a hell of a RB haul for sure.

I was hoping we could turn Emery's head towards LSU. You never know it's a long way until NSD but I think he sticks with Georgia. Some kids just want to get away. Great get for sure

Agreed. The three best running backs I've seen tape on this cycle are (in no order)

Sanders
Emery
Ty Davis

Davis' size and running style remind me of Todd Gurley, who for those that remember was also very lowly ranked until his senior year when he received a fourth star.

Curious why none of the UGA insiders made CB picks on Emery committing. I don't think I've ever seen a CB page that has as many picks as his and not a single one is correct. 0.0%

Whitefoot, probably just means the kid is good at keeping a secret and probably has a small "circle of trust" - very rare for a HS kid to be able to keep it under wraps all the way until the end. Also probably means he is less likely to flip than a guy like Rambo Hunter who changes his mind every day.

I feel like I've seen it before, but I'm definitely a little surprised none of the UGA insiders put a pick in Sunday morning when they probably found out.

Maybe wanted to let the kid have his moment, or they didn't have the inside knowledge that others had because there were definitely people who found out in and around the program.

Probably because all 3 staffs (UGA, LSU, MSU) felt good about where they stood and nobody expected him to announce publicly this early (including UGA). He and his family had been saying they would wait until at least Augustbwhoch is probably why LSU felt like they could sway him after this visit but Emery and his family felt like they’d seen everything they needed and went ahead with the announcement

Possibly, but he has seemed to be all over the place. A month ago he was committing to Mississippi State. But, ok, say you're correct about his tight circle of trust. That wouldn't explain how none of your insiders got an inkling from Georgia sources.

FWIW one of our insiders posted on Saturday night that Emery was a silent but that it was not to get out lest it spook him out of sticking (has happened to us before, especially with out of state kids). What was a surprise was that he announced publicly so quickly

This is all I'm saying.

Doubtful. These guys make a living off of this stuff and CB picks is about the only tangible metric that shows who's good and who's not.

Anyway, it's just strange to me and was wondering what you guys were hearing about it. I doubt we're flipping him. If I were him, I'd look at that CB page as a badge of honor.

Do you know which Golden Egg he got? And can one recruit find more than one Golden Egg, or once they find one, do they just have to stick to finding regular eggs after that?

These guys also make a living off of information and the only way to access it is for recruits to trust you if they tell you something off the record or that is tome sensitive. Easy way to burn bridges as a recruiting analyst if you screw up a kid’s announcement by trying to get clicks

Yeah, I was thinking it may be so few points that it probably wouldn't be worth it for them?

And most of the guys I don't think knew until it was an hour or two before he committed. We did have some insiders who found out Saturday night IIRC. Americus & friends always have pretty good info.

We gave him a map of all the golden eggs. We plan to name him Mayor upon graduation

Because literally last week before the trip to UGA he told our coaches he was making a commitment video to be released next week (this week) that he was announcing for us. That's why the slew of CB's went our way, that got out. Then he made the visit and decided to commit to UGA on the spot instead, which was a bit out of the blue and took most everyone by surprise.

Was he misleading or not remains to be seen, but that's why all the CB's went the way they did last week. Either he intentionally misled LSU and even the MSU folks (who said LSU was the one who made up the ground etc etc), or he's just a really impressionable person and kind of lives in the moment.

If LSU gets firm commitments from Davis and Cain I'm thinking their focus shifts to more pressing needs than rb. Specifically, a DE or OT.

That's what I was thinking. that was why I was so surprised that the poster said Emery would flip on signing day.

I really think Cain is going to feel the pressure to commit soon now that Emery is gone to make sure he gets a spot with a team he likes. I know Texas and Florida are after him, but I would still think LSU will get him.

That's just this kid's style. He falls in love.
I've seen recruits where this has happened. Last visit is the school they are in love with. It'll be interesting to watch.

Davis is absolutely a load. Big, hard running back. Seems to have excellent speed. He could turn out to be better than any of this years backs if he works hard.

I watched some interviews with Emery. I don’t think anyone could glean where he was learning from any of it. He kinda says positive things about MSU and UGA but seemed more interested in them from the interview which basically made it impossible to predict UGA. They probably knew and could of switched their pick that Sunday but that’s kinda sleezy.

Only one Golden Egg per recruit unless you are a top 5 in the country recruit. Then you can keep looking.
And yes, they can still look for the regular eggs after they get a golden egg.

Saw that Shea is still predicting him in LSU's class. Will be a tough pull after going 6-6/7-5 while Ed O is on the hot seat and UGA goes 10-2ish.
