Can't really compare the two but Ben Simmons can do all monk can do and he is 6'10'

No he can't.
Simmons can't dribble with his head up. Simmons can't shoot remotely as good as Monk either. Basically Simmons is equally as talented athlete with more size, but that is it.

Oh I hope SEC coaches believe that too. If so you're all in for one rude awakening. Simmons is an superb ball handler, and is equally strong on his right as his left.

I mean, I get that everyone isn't super high on him, but the amount of downplaying is quite funny.

My guess is you haven't watched 1 video on Simmons.
Simmons has guard skills in a power forward's body. He essentially is a point forward. Leads his (very good) team in assists and has a better than 2:1 AST:TO ratio. All while dominating inside because he has elite athleticism.
And Montverde goes around the country playing the top teams from each state, so he's not playing scrubs every game.

You haven't watched his highlights or a game of his. Monk may shoot better but that's about it

What does the board say?
UK has a team full of NBA lottery picks. Who do you hear the announcers talking about 90% of the time? The bigs. Why...because they have the ability to dominate a game.
If any coach in america had a choice between Simmons and Monk I'm quite sure that they would take Simmons.

I think we can take for granted that all of the SEC coaches are aware of what the #1 recruit in the country can do memphisplaya. Don't let these porcine trollers get your dander up. Simmons would be the #1 pick in the NBA THIS year if he were able to come out according to the talking heads. He ain't sneakin' up on anybody but from what I've seen that won't matter. He will be a pre-season All SEC performer and will make good on that prediction. Likely make some All-American squads as well. One of the top ten HS players I've ever seen(in fifty-odd years of playing, coaching and observing the game). Glad we get him, even if it is only for a season.

Monk is the best HS bball player regardless of classification.

I was thinking about this thread earlier. I still stand by my posts in this thread.

I wonder if this guy still believes that
Simmons is our primary PG and has 11 assists to 3 turnovers in his first 2 games.

While we have had some quality bigs in the past you have to have quality guard play in the NCAA in order to be successful. Especially in the tournament.

After watching both mixtapes I would take Malik Monk. Is it just me or does Ben Simmons look a bit overrated?

Well then, now that you've conducted such extensive research...

I think Simmons is an insane athlete but still kinda raw.
This is one of the worst things I have ever read on this board. Congrats man. Did you ever actually watch him in high school?
Raw compared to who? Lebron James 6 years into his professional career? At 6'10, Simmons was about as polished as a big man can be coming out of high school. Just because the guy doesn't shoot a bunch of outside shots every game doesn't mean he is raw.

And then you one-upped yourself with this gem. My only theory is that Malik Monk has a catchy name, and you fell in love with it. Other than that, you must just not watch any basketball and are just trolling.
