It is sad whoever has messed it up. It used to be you come and have real recruiting discussions and exchange of info.

if he wanted to quell suspicions of his program, this is absolutely the worst thing he could have possibly done. rookie move. i was on the fence on whether they just hit the jack pot or if something screwy was going on. i read this, im pretty sure now that there is something to it. its not like it would be surprising. dude was on orgeron's staff and was involved in the questionable recruitment of oher when a HS coach.

Now for my stance on the recruiting. Either you are, or you or not. Either way nothing happens. The NCAA is not what it use to be. They failed on Newton (not saying he got paid but his father did try to get the money), they have failed at OU, they have the frigin money man saying he paid players at Miami and they are trying to frick that up!
Until a new president is elected at the NCAA who has 2 balls (unlike OBreb), colleges KNOW they can do whatever if they half way hide it!

You're right. It's not just ole miss. They are by far the worst and most visible though.
