How’d signing day 1 go for you?

A&M kept it pretty boring. We had a top 15 class going into the day. We signed everyone and then landed a borderline 5* DE. We sit just outside the top 10 with a handful of spots to go to climb into the 7-8 range. Tomorrow’s top target in the Mountain. It’s down to A&M or OU.

I was hoping for one more top DT. Other than that there's nothing more this class needed to work towards a championship.

Up and down.

Lost #5 WR to Bama, get to watch him kick our arse now.
Lost #12 DE to Bama

Signed

Signed #1 DT
Signed WR ranked in top 250
Signed #1 juco ILB (3*)
Signed #14 CB
Signed #5 RB

Really glad we held onto Derrick Davis, Landon Jackson, Deion Smith and Garret Dellinger.

#4 class and Tristan Leigh at least delayed his signing.

Altogether pretty good. Rather some guys hadn’t flipped but I’ll take it.

Speaking of DT’s. Y’all getting Jeudy or are we? Our recruiting peeps seem fairly confident. I guess we won’t officially know until Jan, but he’s signing in the early period.

Probably the most boring Signing Day of any I can remember as a hog fan. Got everyone we expected to. No surprises of any kind. Considering we usually whiff or lose someone we are supposed to sign I'll take it

I think we’ll finish higher than that. Foster alone will get us close to top 8.

Better than expected. Signed all 22 of our commits and flipped 2 big time guys from LSU. Also flipped an OL from Auburn, who signed but won’t announce until February. Apparently room for 1-2 more guys in February. May end up as the highest ranked class in recruiting site history.

Went good. Coach Drink has improved recruiting, he’ll have to continue to do so, but it’s a good first step.

Hit our needs on the DL for sure, and got the guys we needed in the secondary. Still a few spots left that we need to add to the OL and hopefully some impact WR in the transfer market

P Good. No bad flips, apparently some teams made some runs on our guys coming up to today.

We got one surprise on signing day when Arden Walker committed, all the predictions had him going PAC-10.

We like our class. Obv highest ranking in a while and Drink didn't go cherry picking guys from wherever he could to do that, he filled needs.

Kirby may use the unused rations from losing De'Jahn Warren and add more weight to the bags. I don't know who have the advantage at this point. He will make his decision on January 2 at 7pm. May the higher bidder win.

Ole Miss’ day went about as well as it could have. There was only one player committing today who didn’t pick us (JUCO DE Byron Young who picked Tennessee) but he wasn’t supposed to sign until February. That was really the only unexpected part but not a huge loss.

Still have 4* WR Malik McClain signing Friday. Either us or FSU.

To bad we will never know if Saban can coach without all these 5 stars. Oh wait....

Why would he want to coach without 5 stars?

One thing O has done for LSU is significantly improve qb recruiting. You can have all the talent in the world but if don't have a qb you'll be Les Miles LSU post 2013.

Lost a couple to Bama, but still a great class. Finish strong and we still will have 300+ points on the composite which is bonkers considering the shite show that was this season.
