One state that always intrigues me is Alabama. Who is winning that battle in state, Bama or Auburn?
Depends on who gets Webb. He's all but been considered a lock to Bama, but he has been reaching out to Auburn a lot lately. He also always says that he is closest with Gus than any other HC, and he plans on coming to most of Auburn's home games this year. We'll see

O appears to be patching up several holes in the Louisiana fence. He'll have to lead LSU to a good season in order to keep making progress.

Webb doesn’t say much of anything.

Pappoe was the big one we really wanted. But overall, Auburn is doing well in Georgia.

But still, it's important to get as many good ones as possible in your home state.
That's a curious statement for our state. Georgia, Florida, Texas, sure. It's only important to get good players in-state if those players match the program's needs and values. To think that players from South Carolina are going to treat the rivalry differently and somehow play harder than another game reflects on poor coaching more than it does on the young men on the field. They realize this HS anymore, playing the cross-town rivals.
Those players you're talking about getting in the first post - Clemson only offered Pickens, and has only offered 5 players total from SC for 2019. Only four for 2020 so far, although that will change.

So you think a kid growing up in sc hating clempson is not going to play harder and want the win more than a player that grew up out of state and could care less?

I understand that Pickens and Nix are #3 and 4 on 247. I just personally think they are the best players in the state.

Pickens needs to qualify first.

In-state players care more, huh. Sounds like another USCe slogan. Never again! We care more!
If the coaches are doing their jobs and getting the team ready to play, how does that help? Think it makes them run through the fire extinguishers or down the hill a little faster? Make meaner faces? A team has the will to win or it doesn't.

You'd be wrong:

There are 54 4 and 5 star recruits in the Rivals 100 in the state of Florida. Here's the current breakdown of those 54 recruits.
Undecided - 23
FSU - 9
Miami - 7
Arkansas - 2
Oregon - 2
Clemson - 2
Georgia - 2
Florida - 1

We're using the 247 composite. It's linked throughout the thread.
So no, I'm not wrong.
Rivals is not the one to use for so many reasons already discussed in countless threads.

Georgia is right in it for Webb as well. Mama is a Dawg grad and so is lots of family. Plus, add in the Pitt Boss and UGA has a real shot. I don't think we'll land him, but we'll be there all the way until he signs his LOI.

Call it a gut feeling, but I'm think he signs with Auburn due to Bama and UGA both being so full with talent. Not that either program wouldn't drop another kid for him, I just think he falls to us.

When have they not done good in Ga.? Saw a lists of someone's top 15 players in AU history and I think 8 were from Georgia...has there ever been a school thats
more dependent on one particular state outside it's boarders than Auburn? Maybe OU with Texas?

He's a 5* at Hoover, they will find a way to get him qualified. I will be surprised if Pickens doesn't end up as the top player in the state by the final rankings.

Not a slogan just a fact. So it was dabo's fault for losing to the two yankee schools the last couple of years huh? At least you admit it.
