Like LSU will have great personnel next year on defense and have probably the two most talented Defensive players in the League in Reid and Mingo. Next yr looks to be LSU best shot for a while
I'm a Bama fan that "occasionally" consults with an NFL Scout/buddy on SEC players. Basically give him a scouting report on guys I think deserve a closer look. LSU's talent level is very comparable to Bama's....and that was also the case in 2011.
The difference in the BCS Championship Game IMO was a "complacent" Les Miles who thought that the Final Exam was going to be the exact same as the MidTerm Exam. Hence, he didn't study/prepare appropriately and we all know what that means on a Final IF you don't prepare.
I also think Sam Montgomery is LSU's best defensive player. Reid and Mingo are very good as is the 'Badger who excels in more of a Nickel Back/Free Safety roaming type role than as a pure man to man cover CB.

Both teams will also have ~3 guys....perhaps as many as 4 of their starting 5 offensive lineman that have a good chance to be drafted in the 1st Round.....definitely by the 2nd.
Teams have comparable talent....easily IMO the most talented 2 teams in the nation.
