Chess and bowling. I kid, football...
Don't ask why, I have no clue. We've yet to see Trotter behind a line worth a shite, though. And Matt Cassell was a backup all through college. Who knows. I hope he's successful in everything he does, though.

This is a joke right? American style football?

all this sounds like it is the little brother syndrome. We have 10 toys the little brother has 5. brother Al's toys are 40 to 50 bucks while little aubbie is around 30 each. So there fore lil man runs to the masses trying to justify that big brother is being mean by throwing away toys that are broke or giving them away to charity, even after big al gave little brother a toy. Moral of the story is, quit being butt hurt when you cant get it like big brother...

He's not going pro. He's just done with football. He will participate in Pro Day just to throw.

So, did we figure out if AU cuts players like Saban?

No.
No, we haven't found out, or no AU doesn't cut players like Saban?
No, and no.

Auburn does not currently cut players like Saban since we are under the 85 total, we can sign 25 and still be under the number.
This will get interesting with the NEXT recruiting class (2013) because we will be at full numbers. Yes, we will have some players that will decide to pursue other options.
Still NO-ONE does roster management like Saban, he is smart and it basically allows him an extra recruiting class every 4 years. Nothing wrong with that.

Not sure about Chizik, but Tuberville sure did.

Has AU cut players due to oversigning like Saban has at Bama?
quote:
Perhaps you could enlighten folks on why Chizik cut these folks.
Jomarcus Savage
Christian Thompson
Marcus Jemison
Dontae Aycock
D'Antoine Hood
Derrick Lykes
Derek Winter
Philip Pierre-Louis
Robert Cooper
Andre Harris
Jessel Curry
Eric Smith (pleading to a felony wasn't enough the first time)
That's eleven, plus you've got the Felony 4 and Tyrick Rollison. I'm sure there are others I haven't thought of. So now you're up to 15 players, under Chiz.
The point is Auburn did not need to cut anyone because they were well below the 85 limit (65). We could have kept everyone of those players and given scholarships to the managers and still be below the 85. With Saban it is like horse breeding, when he cuts players (to get below 85) he improves the gene pool.
So players can leave Auburn and they aren't "processed", but when guys leave Bama it must be because Saban is cutting them to make room for more players?
For example, Dyer leaving Auburn is ok. However, if the exact same situation happened at Bama, would you blame it on Saban?
Get your head out of your butt, and realize that ALL schools have attrition.

How is the view in your colon ? The issue is that Saban does not cut players with the talent of Dyer, they make it through the process. It is the ones who can not crack the 2 deep rotations that end up with some career ending injury.

So players haven't transferred from Auburn to other schools in order to have more playing time?
So players at Auburn haven't left the team because of unknown medical issues?
Just because Auburn has had so much attrition that it can't even get close to the 85 limit, doesn't change the fact that ALL schools have attrition.
Why don't you get over your butt hurt and review a list of Auburn recruits from the past 4 years with the same degree of scrutiny?

BamaDon, I have reviewed it and that is not the problem at AU. You must live under a rock if you have not heard or understand the Saban Process. You must be the only bammer who doesn't admit that is how Saban manages his roster, most of the others accept it and approve of it.
