I've been hearing the same thing. It sounds like Freeze has really made a connection with him and with RW headed to Auburn, it makes sense for him to join him!

Freeze recruiting offense hard. A lot of smoke here. That an Lacey having to sit 2 to 3 years behind Archie.

Gone are the days QBs are willing to sit 2 years unfortunately if they are in the 5 star range.

We’re stacked in the QB room anyways. You guys could sure use the help though. But I doubt you flip him. He’s got 2 visits to Texas planned.

I always wondered if it is better to try to stack high ranked QBs and let them transfer out if they don’t work out, or recruit a 5 star, then recruit a high 3 star/low 4 star with potential that probably won’t transfer out to build depth. Bama stacked QBs and they were struggling at QB this season. With the playoffs and potential of having to play 17 games, I think QB1 and QB2 will become more important than the spotlight being on just QB1 these days.

I don’t think you can go wrong with 1 every class and having the weak link transfer. Doing that with 5 stars every year, you’d think one will transfer eventually.

But teams hit walls. UGA has a bunch of 5 stars that couldn’t beat out a walk on. Bama had a room full of 5 stars, struggled. Ohio State struggled. You might see it differently bc 5 star Ewers got y’all to the playoffs, but don’t forget the 5 star Heards and 5 star Swoopes. Lincoln Riley is even switching up how he recruits. I’m telling you. Both strategies are inconsistent.

I don’t see an issue taking a 5 star every year at QB. You see issues because 5 star players doesn’t equal a 5 star team. Ex: Texas 2010-2022.
