Is UGA going to try to land him or are they still selling out for Haselwood?

UGA prefers Haselwood but he’s somewhat of an enigma. He knows UGA is his best option compared to Miami & Auburn, but the Miami lifestyle intrigues him. I could see him going to Auburn for no good reason.

I do like Pickens but I always thought he was Juco bound...

If he flips to Bama he'll qualify. Hoover will give a kid a little extra help to qualify when they're an athlete heading to Bama.

How are none of you aware of lsu’s rich tradition of signing 5* receivers and never using them until they give us major NFL cred

When is the last time a high profile Hoover athlete didn’t make it to campus because of grades?

They tried pretty hard if you remember. They were going to qualify him until a certain math teacher went to the media about Hoover administrators changing grades for his class for both Kerry Murphy and Josh Chapman. Same time the scandal with Propst's second family broke. I think the grade change scandal might have even been the catalyst for Rush's personal scandals getting exposed?

Chapman had to basically redo his entire senior year in summer school to quality. Hoover allowed him to retake more classes than they normally allow students to take in summer school.

As for Kerry Murphy, the fact Hoover even let him graduate is a miracle. His senior year he was in my 10th grade history class. The teacher just happened to be Hoover's DL coach. I actually thought he was just a student aide in the class, because he only showed up about 5 times the whole semester and when he did he would sit at the teachers desk in the back and play on the computer or sleep. I found out when the details of the grade change scandal came out that he actually in that class and they made it so he passed that class with a C+ . For Josh Chapman all they did was round things up, like from a 69 to a 70 type thing so it wasn't that bad, but they still made him retake everything. For Kerry Murphy they basically had to invent grades for him because even the classes where he did show up he still didn't do any work at all in any of them.

The only concern about him I have is character issues. There’s a few red flags he’s shown.

Like grades, like hanging up on reporters, ignoring the coaching staff he’s committed to, throwing temper tantrums in games. That’s called immaturity.

I was. I handled every situation with grace and aplomb.
