blzr, gocrazy, ttstowel, wde24, amm -

AU is still going to finish with an incredible, top 10 class. They'll fill positions of need. They'll hire a strong DC (one who will stay for more than one year, unlike Stoops). They'll get a great OC, too. Don't sweat it too much.

As for Pike, I doubt he ever plays at anything approaching the level he thinks he will. The 2013 kid AU leads for will take his spot on the depth chart by 2nd week of fall practice.

Agreed. I'm not freaking out at all, I still think we finish strong.

Also agree. Whether it be Sandberg or Johnson, they will pass him. I just don't have faith in Pike anymore

I'm gonna go jerk it to lesbian pron, you guys have a good night.

bamasgot13, who are you hearing for DC? It's kind of sad that we can't rely on the Auburn "insiders" for info anymore. You are more credible to me than any of them are.

oh, I know, its just been a long couple weeks of shitty news for AU. As good as Yeldon is, it is more of the psychological hit that sucks right now. We don't "need" him that much, but this is the 3rd 5* recruit in the past two seasons that has committed to us soon before NSD, only to switch at the last moment to Bama. I know how most of these things actually work, so I'm not all that surprised, it is what recruiting has become these days.

I pretty much gave up following it this year. Although I check in over here every now and then and catch up a bit. It is actually nice because I wasn't invested in Yeldon (or any of the other guys), so his flip didn't really bother me.

I still think it ends up being Whitt, Jr., but I'm not certain. I know Withers was high on the list before he got a job. I know Johnson has been high on the list - and might move even higher if USM doesn't offer him by tomorrow.

Whitt Jr with Kevin Greene would be ideal.

I would be okay with us getting him, and moving Thigpen to coach LB. If we keep waiting around, we're going to get shite on again and have to hire someone like Ted Roof. I really don't want Ellis Johnson. He's already old. I don't know how much he still has left in the tank.

Good attitude to have. You can't let the whims of teenage boys ruin your day. Otherwise you are in for a lot of bad days.

He's good, but I can understand why an AU fan would prefer to have Whitt, Jr. instead.

I think USM makes an offer (i.e. names a coach) tomorrow or Tuesday. If it isn't Johnson, then he'll heat up as a possibility for DC. With Whitt, Jr. you've got to wait a long time before he's actually working for AU. GB going deep in playoffs.

ETA: USM hire is probably Wednesday.

I think he was going to take visits anyways, at least that's what he said a couple months ago. And I'm not concerned about Bama, there's no way yall have room

“I am still committed to Auburn,” Holsey said. “But there is a good chance I could visit Alabama and Georgia next month. Right now they are my only possibilities. I just need to see what happens with Auburn and go from there. I am hoping Auburn brings in a good coordinator that runs a great defense. I don’t know what else to say. I am just waiting.”
