When you have 20 years of data, then you have a sample size for this. Common sense says a bump 3 years later is unlikely to be greater than a bump 1 or 2 years later, all else being equal.
I tend to agree with most of that.
The way I see it, the perceived "NC bump" is improperly assigned to the actual winning of the NC when it should be assigned to the exceptional player development necessary to win that NC. Kids care more about getting better as football players and getting to the NFL than they do about winning an NC. If they win one, then cool, but it is a secondary concern with most kids.

Why do I need to provide anything more? I did not state the original premise of 3rd year bump, so why do I carry any burden of proof?

It should be noted that Chiz's average includes his first year (19th) which is only partial his class. As an example, Saban's first class was ranked 10th.
