I've been saying this same thing for years. It's always baffled me why we have stayed away from Louisiana prior to Bielema.

Same here. I think we recruited where we played before joining the SEC and then continued recruiting there because we had ties. Those ties have disappeared some over the years, so we've had to build new relationships. Slow going when you don't have a coach who builds relationships, like some of ours in the past.

Any highly rated recruit out of Louisiana will not go to arkansas. Ever.

And none of them had the option to sign with LSU so your point is pointless

The point is we have a pipeline to rummel.

Without it and our past two wins over lsu, Fulton likely doesn't visit Arkansas. That pipeline will only help us with other high ranking recruits moving forward.

Before Bert got to Arkansas that statement would be correct. We didn't actively recruit Louisiana.

But now we're actually recruiting there. And we seem to be hitting it harder each year Bert is here. So our odds of signing a highly rated recruit out of La are higher than they've ever been.

What about 4 star DT Briston Guidry who LSU has offered? Does he not count?

He does not.

I'm talking at least top 5 in the state.

While I don't agree with his initial statement. Perhaps you can enlighten us on which highly rated LA recruit has signed with Arkansas?

Making any statement and ending it with ever is very ignorant. It is all relative as well. What are we considering highly rated? Some posters have already pointed out some.

There are very, very, very few players that choose arkansas over LSU. Most of the time they are players on LSU's back burner and that's the truth. I'd honestly like to hear some names.

Dude has offers from LSU, Bama, Ole Miss, Tenn, Penn State, A&M... but you don't think he's a "highly rated" recruit so that your butt hurts a little less.

Not arguing that, the poster literally said that a highly rated player out of LA will never go to Arkansas. That was a dumb statement. I don't understand how that isn't clear.

He is the 20th rated player in the state and LSU obviously isn't fighting to flip him.

Y'all can act like you stole one from LSU out of LA all you want, but deep down, you know he wasn't a top priority for LSU.

If you get Fulton, then you can claim to have stolen one.

Fair enough if you really want to get nit picky but please enlighten me on any Top 10-15 player in the state going to Arkansas over LSU. I'm truly curious.
