Yea, I'm jelly of Myles Garret..... That kid is special me thinks. IMO, he is yalls most important pickup this year.
Agree unless Allen turns out to be an All SEC type QB. QB > any other position.

Are there any 6-5 cornerbacks out there willing to play one game a year against TAMU? If so, DM me.

I'm thinking Nacho probably red shirts. He's still pretty raw. But if he plans on leaving for the league early then no reason to not let him get a few shots as a freshman.

I disagree.
My example is JFF. Without a D your just a team with a hot QB. Strong D's can carry a team very, very far.

I agree we need to field at the very least a competitive defense. I would prefer a very strong defense. You can't depend on scoring 40+ every game. Especially when 40+ dosen't make you feel comfortable.

Eh, we wont need a Florida or Alabama level D to win. If we can field a top 50/40 defense we will be ok

You need a D. However, one player can't make a D. A great QB covers up a ton of warts.

Top 40 D and we'll win 11 games every year.

Good points all around.
Jay is obviously correct--as we all just witnessed this season: The best offensive player around can only carry a team so far. At the same time, with a solid O, we don't have to be world-beaters on D. Competent would be a good start.
Coach Sumlin isn't stupid. He knows what everyone is saying (deservedly so): Our defense has to turn it around. I have zero doubt that he can get it done.

Love hearing that from an LSU fan. Also love that AV. I might need to drink some nice brown water tonight after arse these recruiting victories.

serious questions, is this kid going to play receiver or tight end? Didn't you guys take 6 or 7 receivers last year? How many receivers will you have on roster with this class?
Posted on 1/4/14 at 3:44 pm to Farmer1906
Yeah, RBWilliams is good people.
Watching these HS games is underscoring the fact that I'm nowhere near ready for the offseason--much less so than usual.

Signing 8 WR's last year wasn't enough for you greedy aggies? Over half of those guys will probably never see significant playing time at WR.

It's the system.
We need a crap-load.

I can't understand why LSU folks are allowed to constantly flame every single thread when they don't get a guy. It sucks but you'll get some good ones too. But please quit acting so butthurt about it and making false claims trolling the SECRB
