Really hurt us that he was "kicked" off team. He was going to be a big contributor on our veteran defense as a freshman. He seemed to be fairly well liked and was the defensive star of bowl practices and then "poof". Some sort of incident with another player, obviously an important player because staff sided with that player and basically nudged Character out the door.

I remember we recruited him hard when he chose to go with y'all instead. I remember hearing about the incident you're talking about, as well. Hopefully he fits right in with our guys with no issues. Lord knows we can use the help on defense.

Gus doesn't release any details on anything but I don't think this a guy that was a thug or anything (or at least that hasn't mentioned).
