I think to a of people have sources. I think saying he called the coaches is an unproven "insider" statement. If they are so "inside" then their sources should know the context of the call. Did he commit to LSU? Did he say he's so confused and doesn't know what to do? According to you they've got SOURCES! Those sources know OF the supposed calls, yet dont know what was said? Not buying it.

Like another poster reiterated, Cam called LSU coaches twice. Surely not to say he's bama bound.

And Red and Memphis have the best track record of any "insiders" on here. So you really can't question their legitimacy

Where is that info coming from? Link? Don't link to the LSU RB either. I mean a link where someone who gets paid to cover recruiting and that's their reputation. Not saying it didn't happen, but it didn't happen just because someone on the LSU RB said it did.

They stole it from a pay site not named Geaux24/7

It could also be that he called them Tuesday night to tell them he was coming to bama and they asked him to sleep on it and call them back the next day. So he called them back the next day to tell them he hasn't changed his mind

Not saying that is what happened, but there is one plausible explanation for your "facts"

Why couldn't ESPNU push back one of their 4 reruns of College Football Daily then? The announcement would take about 5 minutes of ESPNU's precious time. They could have done it Friday.

BOL predictions up to 84 % for Bama

Craig Victor had 12 straight predictions to LSU. He committed to Arizona. The Crystal Ball isn't as indicative as you think. Go look at Joe Mixon's. They have him to USC even though he's said he's not interested in them.

Did we really need a thread so a gump could brag about running coffee for his local TV station years ago?

What do reruns have to do with anything? it is still the same 22 minutes and 30 seconds of non-commercial of air time. The show is tight and, as much as Bama and LSU fans care, most of the audience on that particular day will care more about they things they've already (for days if not a full week) planned to cover.

Again, he may or may not be unsure of his decision, but moving it to Wednesday was not b/c of any potential uncertainty. ESPN simply could not have aired him on Friday.

You have absolutely no clue of which you speak. It reminds me of when you were running your mouth prior to 1/9/12 posting that Bama couldn't stay within 2 TDs of LSU.

Didnt ESPNU drop whatever was scheduled last weekend to run Cameron Sims announcement?

With that being the case, you dont think they would have made room for Cam Rob to do his thing on the first official weekend of College Football, when most fans are going to be tuning in?

Wednesday is a better news night to report for High Profile Recruits?

The show on a Saturday before the season begins is not nearly as tight as the show on the day after games have been played/day before all the big action takes place. They had no highlights to recap on last Saturday's show. They had no games to look at that were kicking off in less than 24 hours.

I understand why you think that way, but it just isn't how a show is produced. Again, I'm not saying he's a "Bama lock". I'm only saying that ESPN would prefer from a scheduling standpoint that his announcement not be on Friday and he accommodated.

It's the first weekend of college football season, so ESPN will concentrate on football and not 'cruits. Unless Ole Miss is playing then it's nothing but 'cruits.

He will most likely pick Bama on wed. There may have been more than one reason why he moved it to Wed., and I am sure a part of that is because ESPN asked him to move the date. I seriously doubt they "made" him move it though. If CRob had said "no, I want to do it Friday" they would have found a way to make it work dont you think?

I have heard it said that he contacted LSU's staff atleast twice, and even if they were the reason he chose to move the date to Wed., since that time none of the staff Sonny and Shea have spoken with feel at all confident about him.

Good get by saban and co. Just don't get your hopes up for LF :)

Hopes are not up. I've always felt Bama carried a lead of some kind (even if it was 55/45) for Robinson. I've never felt we had a lead for LF. I think he's more like 70/30 or 80/20 to LSU.

Everything I have heard lately points to him not really even considering Bama much at all anymore. USC def piqued his interest, but I doubt he goes that far from home. Obviously when he is asked about Bama, he has good things to say. Coach Burns def. had ya'll in it at one point. And obviously I am not counting Bama out of this one completely. But all the inside scoop from 247 I see has "people familiar with his recruitment" saying he is/was seriously looking at USC.

ETA: Still think it ultimately comes down to LSU and Bama, especially after a few more games. Did you see the clips from USCs game against Hawaii last night? Lol

SO true. Every 2 mins the announcers were yapping about OLE MISS recruiting.

Cam Sims gave ESPN a week notice. I am looking at his timeline on 247 and he announced on August 17 that he will commit August 24.

Is the Cam toBama lock akin to your BHarris lock?

You were ADAMANT Brandon Harris was a Auburn lock and scoffed at LSU fans stating otherwise.
