After Regional Elite 11 camp ranking

quote:

1. Matt Zollers – Missouri Matt Zollers‘ showing at the State College, Pennsylvania regional was the consensus No. 1 pick. The 6-foot-3.5, 203-pounder showed one of the best combinations of arm strength and movement skills among the group. Zollers threw with impressive velocity and drove the ball to all levels with ease. The arm looked live and loose. The Missouri pledge is known as a functional mover and flashed some of the quickest feet of the group. There were times where he could get rushed and misfire, but the physical tools and ability to make about every throw stood out. Zollers ranks as the No. 13 overall prospect and No. 2 quarterback in the On300.

Elite 11 Finals QBs include:

Luck, Tua, T-Law, Stafford, Winston, Geno Smith, Vince Young, TBlow, Goff, Watson, Fields, Howell, Nix, Beck, Stroud, Young, Maye, Williams…

Take a look at the list. Having a QB at the elite 11 finals is as good a predictor as any for having at least a very solid collegiate QB if not above average to elite.

There are 2 recent Heisman winners that aren't in those names.

Husan Longstreet
quote:

Not only was his incredible arm talent (he very well may have the best arm in the entire 2025 class )on full display, but accuracy at all levels of the field throughout the competition was elite.

This all culminated in the rail shot challenge, which was the last competition of the day.

The challenge, which consisted of a rail-shot pass to the left side of the field against Cover 2 thrown without loft on a five-step drop, is one of the more difficult throws of the camp.

But by the end, it was only Longstreet, un-committed three-star Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, and fifth-year Oregon Ducks senior (and Heisman candidate) Dillon Gabriel left standing, battling through mulitple rounds until a sudden death decision.

Longstreet and Sagapolutele would eventually tie the rail-shot, giving them each a substantial boost in the camp overall.

And he's doing it with an ankle injury.

You probably should have looked at the comment I replied to before you made a fool of yourself.

I did. What two names were you referring to then?

Burrow and Jayden Daniels are my guess.

I think he is saying those two should also be on that list.

Exactly.

If we're talking about superstar QB's.

This thread has absolutely zero to do with LSU. So why are you trying to make it about LSU?

It's somewhat interesting to me how different people see the same practices and come away with somewhat different rankings/takeaways

Greg Biggens had this:

quote:

We had St. Clair as our Alpha Dog following the initial workout at the Elite 11 tonight. I thought St. Clair and Keelon Russell were the top 2 by a decent margin over the field. Tavien has an NFL body right now with one of the coaches saying, 'this kid looks like a Greek god.' He has a smooth easy delivery, a tight release, plenty of arm strength, moves well in and out of the pocket and I love the way he carries himself. He's a natural leader and checked off every box for me tonight.

So Biggens had Russell over Longstreet by "a decent margin". On3 had Longstreet as the best performer.

Sounds like the top 3 were somewhat the same with most people there

Edit: I guess these people could be talking at different times during the events/days

I take it that St. Clair and Russell are the two best looking so far overall. That write up that farmer provided on Longstreet just seems to be a summary of the last drill of the day, not the full days events..

A. Because I can.

and

B. If you're going to list off a bunch elite 11 QB's who had great college careers, why leave off the 2 that had the best seasons in Burrow and Daniels?

and

C. Underwood isn't on this list because he's not participating, but he'll be better than any QB that's actually at the camp.
