ECU grad transfer QB expected to join Alabama program

East Carolina graduate transfer quarterback Gardner Minshew has committed to the Crimson Tide and will enroll in May, AL.com has learned.
Minshew had been in contact with Alabama since shortly after leaving East Carolina in late January and visited Alabama last weekend.

Gardnew was a decent HS QB at Brandon HS here in MS. Doesn't have SEC arm strength for sure. Wonder if Bama expects Hurts to transfer or change positions and they're looking for depth.

He must want to be a professional holder on the field goal team. Unless Jalen and Tua die somehow, that baw aint never playing quarterback at Bama.

That's a good plan.
I remember someone that was a GA talking about how hard it is to get the job in the first place. This guy has easy access now.

This Bama team is shaping up to be one of the best under Saban.
Got a grad transfer kicker that can actually make a field goal.
