Alabama will soon have another quarterback.

East Carolina graduate transfer quarterback Gardner Minshew has committed to the Crimson Tide and will enroll in May, AL.com has learned.

Minshew had been in contact with Alabama since shortly after leaving East Carolina in late January and visited Alabama last weekend.

Post will be updated.

Might as well get a ring while he's sitting.

the guy knows he's not going to be playing on Sundays. If he wants to get into coaching, going to bama and getting into sabans tree as maybe a ga or analyst next year is the best thing he could possibly do

Word is he wants to go into coaching. His plan is to hang out at Bama for a year then GA under Saban.

Gardnew was a decent HS QB at Brandon HS here in MS. Doesn't have SEC arm strength for sure. Wonder if Bama expects Hurts to transfer or change positions and they're looking for depth.

He must want to be a professional holder on the field goal team. Unless Jalen and Tua die somehow, that baw aint never playing quarterback at Bama.

That's a good plan.

I remember someone that was a GA talking about how hard it is to get the job in the first place. This guy has easy access now.

This Bama team is shaping up to be one of the best under Saban.

Got a grad transfer kicker that can actually make a field goal.

Got the new backup QB to come in as a grad transfer. This allows Hurts to move to TE, where he will have a career in the NFL.

15-0 here we come.

You're the idiot. He wants to get into coaching and is expected to take a GA position under Saban after next season.
