Brandon Harris

Lughinbill's wife is an AU alum and for a while when he was making money doing his own scouting he was an AU booster or something like that

Not on any site since he committed to AU? You sure about that?

Down 4 on ESPN
Same on Rivals
From #2 MLB to #3 MLB on Scout
Same on 247

So quite the opposite actually

So he has always been #33 on Rivals.

We will see what happens on their next update.

Moved up 2 spots actually, my b. Compared to SDH, who moved 170+ spots after committing to Bama.

Overall, Tre dropped.

You are changing. Next you will be saying the REC controls the SEC scheduling. Falling in line.

I thought the huge SDH bump was ridiculous. He's a very good prospect, I wanted (and still want) AU to get him, but he's not a Top 50 overall guy. As for Tre dropping, for the most part he's stayed put in the rankings. I'm not trying to say he dropped because he committed to AU

Like I said before, the "Bama bump" exists, but for logical reasons. Saban doesn't offer scrubs, and Bama pumps out good player more often than not. Sometimes the sites overblow it though.

I have a hard time believing Johnny Dwight would have made the top 247 if he had committed to LSU.

Ohio State went undefeated last year. By this logic shouldn't all their prospects get bumps also?

On Rivals, absolutely.

I disagree, but anyways this somehow takes away from him being a top 247 player? Do some of you guys even hear yourselfs?

If he wasn't good would LSU have been hot on him or offered him? Bama? So because he commits to Bama he doesn't deserve to be fairly ranked? However if he committed to LSU he would? Is that what you're saying?

I guess Chris Jones also benefited from committing to Bama last year as well...... oh wait.

Who cares. The star system is so bogus. A 5.7 is a 3 star and a 5.8 is a four star.

Another item not even considered is are the teams getting good players at actual positions of need?

As with most anti-Bama conspiracy theories, it's a load of shite.

Tre Williams was recently rated the #1 coverage linebacker in the nation at a Rivals camp with all of the best players, so I would expect a rise in the rankings.

This is not an anti-Bama conspiracy. I was giving credit to Nick Saban for finding diamonds in the rough, while also saying the kids are boosted because 247 and Rivals trust his evaluation based on past success.

AMM AU9893 seems to get the point of my thread.

Yes Tre might go up because of that. That is also why Elam and others have increased, not because of Saban or Alabama.

Johnny Dwight?

Relatively unknown, even by Alabama fans, until he committed to Alabama. Now look how high he is ranked. Joeyb147 just noted his 500 + spot jump on 247Sports. Did he attend a camp and perform well? I am asking because I am not aware of him doing so.

The owner of 247 sports said Zach Whitley was the top (or top 3) recruit on Bama's board, why is he over 60 spots lower there than his composite?

MF This

The story of Cole Mazza and Saban offering him a full scholly only contingent on him flipping was funny as hell

We lost a 4 yr starter at LS who had never fumbled a snap (set all LS records at Bama)

And he was the best in the country, so Bama signed him after the ST camp

Have a need and fill it
