Not everybody likes large cities with tons of traffic and crime . Hattiesburg has 60k has 2 colleges, little to no crime, about anything you need in a city. Is an hour from yhe ms gulf coast casinos, hour and a half from Mobile and NewOrleans, 2 hours from Gulf shores and 4 hours from Destin.
You may hate on It but I enjoy living here the cost of living is cheap as well.

I retract my previous statement after reading this line. Forgot about the cost of living. MS does have good bang for your buck
