Meh, its the new norm for high profile kids. He isn't going on tv, and Collins didn't either, to embarrass LSU.

That's a little petty imo. He doesn't owe the state anything.

For someone who claims to have been a Tiger fan growing up. Whose friends and family are Tiger fans, then sure. But if you are going to commit to our biggest competition at the moment, then out of respect for your friends and family who will certainly be torn on your decision, then no do not make a production out of it.

Its not the state. Its the people who have supported him while he was growing up. Who raised him and who coached him.

Who cares what kind of production is made out of it. Who, other than people on here, will be paying attention to a recruit announcing at 12:30pm on a Wednesday? National perception of LSU will not change if this kid announces Bama on tv. I am glad he is doing it today as opposed to UA game.

So if a kid is born and raised in Idaho, he shouldn't be allowed to announce his commitment to the University of Illinois because he isn't staying in state?

Meh, we'd be ecstatic if he was going to announce for us on the big stage. It's the way recruiting works these days. People are gonna be sad one way or the other.

His "handlers" are only pro-Bama because he is, that term is used very loosely, they have carried him to LSU games as well

No. You hope he is. You also hope that fake rumor about his mom contacting frank is true. LSU will continue to pursue, and I still say that he signs with LSU in the end once The dominoes start to fall. I also don't expect Sims to stay a commitment to Bama by the end of his season. His offer likely gets pulled.
