Odd to say the least. I was used to Texas getting raided back in the 90s but I can't recall this number of top prospects heading to just two out of state schools.
1) Jackson Lloyd - Bama
2) Dijon Lee - Bama
3) Adonyss Currie - A&M
4) Husan Longstreet - A&M
8) Chuck McDonald - Bama
9) Kaleb Edwards - Bama
15) Noah Mikhail - A&M
17) Marco Jones - A&M
20) Marcus Harris - Sooners

Someone should tell Husky Harsin he can't recruit.

USC is screwed if they let this happen year after year

They were fricked when they hired Lincoln "one or two stops on defense per game is enough" Riley.

It’s called buying players

Husky Harsin is getting it handed to him trying to recruit the southeast so he is picking off easy targets out of California and overpaying them. (Less than half of commits are from the traditional SE footprint)
The days of cherry picking the top players out of Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, S Carolina, Tennessee, etc are gone. They are also losing many in state battles to Freeze.

Then you shouldn't have any trouble picking up all these 4 and 5-star footprint scraps.

Wait a minute. This was actually a real post?!?! Someone posted this on another board (a Bama board) and I thought they were just making it up as another potential stupid take from a rival fan. But, it's actually real!

I'll assume it's just a troll attempt from an alter account. But, bless his heart if he actually believes that. He's living in an alternate universe from the rest of us.

Are these other recruits rated higher than the ones in the SE?

Short answer is YES!!

The west coast migration to the SEC started several years ago in football and baseball. Can’t blame the kids for wanting to play in front of 100k passionate fans compared to half empty stadiums full of apathetic fans on the west coast. With the PAC12 dead, expect more of this.

Since Saban went to Alabama he has always established he was going to recruit nation wide. But, by the same token, it is silly to say that Alabama did not go after:
Offord
Faulk
Grady
Crawford
to name a few. Looks like Fegans may be headed to Auburn, too.
It's fine to say you like the guys that you picked up in their place, and you can also argue that you might have picked up better players, or players higher on the board...or something. But, those players above had offers from Alabama and went elsewhere. To me, it's not all that surprising DeBoer went after players he was familiar with in California. This year will not tell the tale on whether or not he can recruit. It's 2,3 and 4 years down the road that will show what he can or cannot do.

Funny that it is generally happending under the radar. Going to have speed to burn in secondary and height and speed at WR.
If he can sort out the offensive line issues we have had for 3 years running... look out.

Alabama currently has the #2 class in the nation, #1 class in the SEC, and the highest rating per player in the nation according to 24/7. There’s bad takes, in then there’s another level of dumb. This is another level of dumb

What are you smoking? There's been many years Saban only recruited five or six players from Alabama in a recruiting cycle. He always tried to get the best players period . He missed on top Alabama highschool bluechips often. Auburn ,FSU ,Clemson and Georgia got many top recruits away from Saban that he wanted.
I always hated that about his recruiting, I would rather take a player from Alabama if he were close to the same level as an out of state player but Saban only cherry picked from Alabama and got the bluechips out of state. All you people saying CKD can't recruit are fooling yourself, he can and will get top five talent at bama and he will be successful with them . Bama's not going anywhere.

Right up to here. Now you are in denial. Going head-to-head with the best recruiters in the country and pulling out wins matters. State be damn. BAMA just picked Ryan Day's pocket yesterday with Justin Hill from Cincy. You have to know just how badly OSU wanted this player to understand what Coach DeBoer is doing.
He just turned Micah Debose, a local kid but never seemed to have BAMA on his radar. Coach DeBoer is having success in Georgia when he wants something. Dawson Merrit out of Kansas was a hard-fought victory and Coach DeBoer had to overcome geo-terrain to get him here.
Coach DeBoer had another fistfight for Jackson Lloyd. Ohio State is desperate for O-linemen and has been on this kid for a long time. They wanted him bad and we got him. I could just keep going. You are completely dismissing getting Ryan Williams back when he bailed just like Caleb Down. Getting Kayden Proctor back was a mini-miracle when the guy was already getting ready for spring drills at Iowa.
Stick your head in the sand and call it what you like but Coach DeBoer is in recruiting fistfights right now against the best of the best in the business and he's more than getting what's his. Where he gets them seems to be pretty much any place and anywhere. Just like Coach Saban.

Offord is the only one Deboer has recruited seriously
