It’s kinda the Bama DNA to back it’s way into things. National titles umpteen years down the road, CFP & BCS titles after not winning its division, recruiting title bumps every year this decade. But those poor ole Bama fans and their internet bullies

So, at least 1 team (Georgia) WILL pass them for the #1 spot. They currently have 26 commits, so pretty sure that they would have to drop someone to add M. Jackson. They signed 27 last year, so I don't believe they have any more spots.

It's strange how everyone complaining about Bama bumps has literally ignored the fact that the biggest winner in re-rankings today was LSU.
Very strange.

I have no idea where we finish but Jayson Jones won't be in our class (Oregon or Ole Miss) and in all likelihood will be replaced by McKinley Jackson.

We have spots. We’re dropping Jayson Jones and in all likelihood adding Ennis Rakestraw Jr. and McKinnley Jackson

That they are processing some guys is obvious, that isn't really the point. The point is that their ranking can't go up much because they are already at 26. They'll get a modest little bump by swapping some spots out, but that's all. Meanwhile, UGA is sitting at 21 and they are only a little more than a point behind. Just saying that is highly unlikely that Bama ends up at #1.
In the grand scheme, it really means very little. All of the top 5 teams signed great classes and, as long as the players fill the team's needs and they are able to develop them, they'll continue to compete for championships.

I don’t understand all the drama in this thread.
Alabama signed a great class.
LSU signed a great class.
Georgia and Clemson signed great classes.
There will always be agreements/disagreements when it comes to individual player rankings. There is always some type of bias in rankings in general. That said, wether you are #1, #2, #3, #4 in the recruiting rankings is irrelevant. If you are signing top 5 classes and hitting your areas of needs. You have all the pieces needed to compete for titles. The rest of it is up to development, keeping kids healthy, etc...
With that said, SEC should be fun moving forward with all the talent in these last couple classes.

UGA guys can correct me if I am wrong but I think they only actually have 1 or maybe 2 spots left due to transfers. Their real big fish left (other than holding on to Jones) is Evans.....if they decide to do it.

Georgia signing a bunch of overrated players once again. How many times do we have to do this same song and dance? LSU will get better football players and stomp a muddhole in uga again if we play them. I don't give a shite about who is the #1-10 class really, bc it's all just a matter of opinion and hype. LSU has signed a damn strong class and has players that are a great fit for our program and what we want to have at our positions. Who cares if UGA or bama are a spot or two higher? Really though? I would rather have the #4 or #5 ranked class and kick their asses on their field where it really counts, than have the higher rates class and it end up being overrated and losing on the field. Which one means more to you? Uga has had class after class of top ranked classes according to "recruiting insiders" lol...only for Georgia to get absolutely demolished by LSU and it's players two straight seasons in a row. GTFO with that biased bullshite ranking. Bama bump is real too. Happens everytime. If that doesn't show that players get hyped up and there's a bias involved idk what does. 2019 LSU tigers, undefeated national champions, record setters, award winners, one of the best cfb team in history (if there's a team that could beat them I haven't seen them yet in my lifetime). All with slightly lower ranked classes than bama and uga. I prefer trophies personally. Geaux tigers.

What is different about the bama player jumps when compared to boutte, ojulari, and guillory?
Boutte flew up the rankings as Rakim Jarret had a precipitous fall. Just saying.

All in all it's about equal, slight edge to Bama. What it will come down to is who has the better qb. College is now like the NFL. It's a passing league and if you can't pass you won't challenge for a title.

Congrats on the season, but you do realize Alabama is 8-1 against LSU in the last 9 games?
Over that period how many championships did Alabama win?
