Great day for them on the re-rankings

Are there any that you disagreed with?

Personally I think it's bullshite that Chris Braswell lost his 5th star. He had a great senior season.

That doesn't fit the narrative though does it

How many recruits can Bama sign a year? I see they have 26 and aren't finished yet.

You mean the fact that LSU gained more in the re-rank than Alabama did?

Is that unfair Patrick or just inconvenient to your general perception of everything?

6 of the top 10, 4 of which are in the SECW. Good lord.

My only minor gripe for Bama was Young at #1 overall. Just dont think he suits that ranking. Almost always a physical freak there at the top regardless of position and he doesnt fit that profile at 5'10, 180ish for a QB that isn't a supreme athlete (only ran for about 350 yards on 70 something carries as a senior). He gets the Russell Wilson/Kyler Murray comparisons due to height but he's not close to the athlete those guys are. Basically it will have to be his passing carrying him all the way there. I just think if a QB was to be #1 it should have been DJ U. who kind of out dueled him even in their game against one another this year.

Still think Bryce is an easy 5-star pick, but not #1 overall or #1 QB. So I call it minor because what, maybe drop in the 5-10 range or something

Yes, a lot of guys jumped or fell a lot of spots.

In the end, LSU was the biggest beneficiary of the re-rank among the Top 5 teams. I assume you guys are cool with that?

He played better in the second game, but Bryce dominated him in the first one.

Bryce is miles better at throwing the football at this stage in his career than the players he's compared to. It's also grossly understated how much he understands the position, which is a lot more important than how tall you are. Mater Dei is a legendary program with a legendary coach that his coached Heisman winners and first round picks. He didn't call plays this season, he let Bryce Young do that. Think about that for a minute, Mater Dei ran roughshod over some juggernaut programs with an 18 year old calling the plays. To me, that mental ability to play the position outweighs a height advantage when all things else are equal. Not to say DJ lacks in that department, but Young is extremely advanced between the ears when it comes to playing QB

I think Bryce has got great traits like you said, but again, for #1 overall, you just expect a physical freak to always be there as well as that's always been the case pretty much, and he's just not that. It's the only thing I felt was a bit overstated there. He's 5'10, 180ish and not a great athlete like Russell Wilson or Kyler Murray, so again will have to be 100% his passing carrying him all the way there, and not sure I'd give the benefit of the doubt to a guy with his measurables there with the lack of being a ground threat really. Still a certain 5-star for everything else you mention, just don't buy him at #1 overall and would have DJ U there (or at #1 QB) instead since he meets the usual physical requirements you see there.

I get both sides of it and wouldn't fault anyone for having DJ #1. 247 has stated that they try to mimic the draft and I think their rankings reflect that now. The NFL has gotten away from the 6'4" 225 necessity at the position now. Murray, Mayfield, Tua are all "undersized" and have gone or will go early in the draft. Burrow doesn't have a big arm but will be picked over Hebert. The worm is turning on that idea of chasing the prototype QB, and 247 is following suit. At the moment it would be hard to argue that Bryce isn't better at playing the position. I think it's also assumed that at the very least he's going to put on a lot of weight, and it's very likely that he'll also grow another inch or 3

Yeah, goise. The Bama prospects became future first round draft picks in just the last few weeks. You goise are just seeing what you want to see. This doesn't reliably happen every year.

You aren't taking this well Patrick, as is typically the case with you when Bama is the subject.

The Will Anderson tape at the AA game is right there on the internet for you to see. He got into a setting with those first round offensive tackles and put them on their arse with consistent regularity. He was always that player, he just wasn't evaluated in person until then. Same can be said for Boutte, can it not?

Hey Patrick, LSU gained more in the re-rank than Alabama.

Please let us know what you think about that.

What is different about the bama player jumps when compared to boutte, ojulari, and guillory? Not sure what suggests bias here tbh

They did enough to ensure Bama had the top class even though ESPN and rivals have Clemson #1

It’s because they have the BDS, Bama Deranged Syndrome. If it happens to Bama it’s expected but if it happens to another team, we good, LOL.
It never fails that the same trolls get upset.

But Clemson is still gonna end up #1, right Mando?

Stop with that narrative dude. The shits kinda old. Nobody gives a shite about the last 8 years. You lost this past year. You’re 8 years are irrelevant

ESPN and Rivals are awful...unless they help my narrative in this instance.
