As an Auburn fan, I want Foster solely because we have a dearth of talented linebackers and he could possibly fill in immediately. However, I am very wary of his character and his antics during recruiting.

You could pick other talented linebackers in place of Foster. Are you worried at all about his possible character issues impacting the team in a negative way?

I'm worried about his character issues as an AU fan. It only takes one fruit case to kill team chemistry.

You mean a kid acting childish?

You want to win football games right, then you'd like to have foster on your team.

You could...I don't know...answer both questions separately.

I would answer Yes to both.

I'm skeptical, but Saban knows best.

and i don't wnat another year of jake holland.

I just can't believe any auburn fan (or bama fan) saying they don't wnat foster on the team.

Yes, I want him at Bama.

I'm not worried about his character issues simply because of who our head coach is. Saban will not put up with much of his crap and will tell him to hit the road should he become a detriment to the team.

I am not sure you can really go as far as character issues with Foster.

He has appeared impulsive and indecisive for sure, but that does not really equate to detrimental character issues.

And I am sure Bama fans would be happy to have him. They do not need him like we do (or anywhere close) and he won't play much if any at LB for them next year, but he will eventually see the field at bama and it also prevents us (AU) from getting better immediately.

I don't really care one way or the other. I kind of view us as similar to the Patriots at this point in terms of locker room dynamic. We can take a chance on a problem child and if he gets in line he will thrive, if he doesn't he will be processed. If he comes in and wants to work hard and learn how to hone his craft, he will make a fine Will for us. If he doesn't, he will be at Jacksonville State or South Alabama in a year or two.

Can't really disagree there.

That's my point. Bama can gamble on him. At this point, he could harm us.

I would want him because Bama is Linebacker U and he is good. I also believe Coach Saban would be good for him.

But, I do not like how he's handled his recruitment. He seems to be too easily influenced by his peers and coaches.

So, really, I'm 50/50 on this.

I don't think it's that much of a gamble

and I think he could help us much more than he could hurt us (and i'm not really sold on the new party line that seems to be coming out of auburn as it becomes very likley that he will be going to bama that he coudl in fact hurt us or that he has character issues.)

He reminds me of:

Seantrell Henderson
Isaiah Crowell
Lache Seastrunk
Willie Williams

Those types that had some kind of strange obnoxious fireworks in their recruitment and all turned out to be busts or detrimental to the team's overall chemistry.

I want Foster because our alternative is Jake Holland. If I was Bama? Or even just a decent program, I don't think I'd want him back.
