Texas A & M was his back up plan.

Oregon was his backup plan.

But I fail to see why it matters where he grew up wanting to go.

When I was growing up I wanted to be a cop. That would have sucked.

What did you want to do?

I'd choose Texas as a recruit today.

Assuming you are the caliber of an ole miss athlete, you are just the type that has been recruited at texas for the past five years. Good choice. However Sam Houston might want to give you a look....you could possible be a backup for them..keep your options open.

I would've chosen Texas under Mack but after all the shite Strong implemented, no way I'd want to deal with all those rules. I'd pick A&M out of those now I guess.

A&m does have a no drug testing policy, so...as long as you don't park in a handicap spot you're set.

I don't see why Texas A&M fans get buthurt over a topic like this. Texas has always been the big dog in the state and always will. There will always be times where Texas is down and A&M is up and Texas is up and A&M is down.

The nation will always view Texas as the big dog in the state until A&M actually starts winning something on the national stage.

In terms of physical appearance, few would disagree with you.
I have yet, however, to see a recruit name "the longhorn cheerleaders" as the reason he chose to play ball at one school over the other.
On the other hand, "the traditions at Texas A&M" have certainly been cited by many a recruit.

I'm not into a bunch of homo "traditions."

So Texas.

I don't think A&M folks need to justify why we love our school and think it is the better football school moving forward than the big 12 school in Austin. Clearly a lot of folks on this thread disagree (and/or love to push Ags' buttons). It is what it is.

Oh, I can argue it very effectively.
But why do so?
The rabid pitbull response of people clicking/diving into this thread is delicious.

the SEC pull for aTm is working in their favor, but it's going to take a lot to dethrone Texas
